Who wants to take a ride on the train?
Terry Chaney, the first of the dead
Omar was confused, which felt very justified in this moment, given he suddenly found himself partially sinking into a very comfortable red leather bench, listening as an angel gave a speech to... him? He acted like he was speaking to a camera, filming one of the infamous apology leters, but Omar didn't see any cameras around, nor did he really understand what the angel was talking about.
"Who are you talking to?" Omar finally had to ask, hoping for some answers as the angel smiled genially, approaching the young man.
"Don't you worry about that, my little meal ticket." Well that wasn't good, had he been kidnapped, he ws a bit above the usual age for abduction, and being raised by a single mother who had to work to raise him, and he only got into college from several scholorships, they'd picked a poor target, no pun intended.
Maybe this was a hate crime, it wasn't hard to peg him as something other than your basic white bread American, even though he'd been born here. A middle Eastern mother, with a traditional Persian name, and skin the color of old parchment all but identified him as someone of Arabic, or Arabic-adjacent origins. Maybe they assumed that all Middle Eastern people were connected to skeiks?
The last thing he rememebred was being at that lanti wedding he didn't want to go to anyways. Well, that wasn't entirely accurate, he had no issues with weddings in genral, but having to fly last minute to a destination wedding where he was a groomsman becuase the first choice had to cancel last minute, always got a raised eyebrow at airport security, all one times he tried to explain.
Wherever his train of thought was about to go, he was distracted as the angel strode past him, lightly applying pressure to the benchasit swiveled around, letting him face several more identical benches in a row, much like a....
"Am I on a train?" Omar asked aloud as the angel smirked.
"Yes, lovely isn't it, it was just sitting in strorage collecting dust, seems most people don't care about the fine local of locomotion, no on our show, seems the 'guests' and viewers are more interested in running trains than riding one." The angel replied, opening a door that appeared on the side at the front? back of the train car, a glowing white light visible beyond the doorway.
"And speaking of taking a ride, our first contestant had to take a bus to get here on time, so please make her feel welcome." The angel said, throwing one arm out as a young blonde girl stumbled through the doorway, nearly falling before the angel caught her, the girl's face wild-eyed in fear as she took several gasping breaths.

"This is Terry, she's still a bit shocked, getting turned into a human speedbump can have that effect, although she seems to be none the worse for wear. Now while you two get to know each other, but not too much, wouldn't want an early advantage, I'm gonna go ahead and pick up our next contestant.
"Contestant?"
