Chapter 4 by TheTruePenguin TheTruePenguin

"Contestant?"

Kat Jennings, second to die

"Wha-what's going on?" Terry whimpered as she stared between Omar and the angel who'd caught her.

Omar tried to get up, to look around or maybe get closer to comfort the blonde girl, Terry the angel had said her name was. But found himself unable to so much as raise his leg to even cross them.

"I don't know, I just woke up here myself. I thought I'd been ****, but this feels more... weird. What do you remember, did you see who grabbed you?" Omar pushed as Terry seemed to grow more frightful, staring at her hands as she started to shake, shutting down.

"I'm dead, I'm fucking dead! I told them to die, and then there was a bus, and now I'm totally fucking dead!" Terry shrieked curling into herself as she pulled her legs up, burying her head into her knees as Omar heard some combination of sobbing and screaming muffled by her hands.

"Well, she's no help, not that I can blame her, **** would probably be preferable to whatever these guys have planned for us." Omar mumbled, still trying to find some clue as to what was going on. He couldn't help but notice the uncomfortable fact that despite her less than stellar mental state, Terry was quite pretty... a very pretty young, blonde, white girl, exactly the sort of girl who'd get grabbed and sold to some deranged pervert as a sex ****.

With that in, was that what they had planned for him, I mean, he didn't have movie star looks, but at least a few girls in high school and college had described him as exotically handsome. Were they going to be sold off to some stranger in a foreign country, kept in cages or chained to a bed?

He looked around, hoping to spot an emergency brake, or maybe a cell phone discarded nearby, but all he saw was the landscape sweeping past the window..." What the actual fuck!?" Omar shouted, finally noticing the landscape was decidedly not like anything he'd seen before.

He expected rolling hills, a rocky mountainside, maybe the sounds of ocean waves in the distance, not... THAT!

A glittering field of what he could only assume were rubies raced past, and just as he blinked, the scene changed into a towering castle, partially broken with vines growing up the outside, and inside, weaving through the structure like verdant threads, and then it was gone, replaced by a barren greying landscape, which would've been bleak if not for the sight of a green-and-blue ball in the distance, unmistakably Earth.

"I don't think we're in Kaui anymore." Omar whispered as the scene shifted to pure light, not like the sun, or a flashlight suddenly turned on in the dark, no, just pure light that made him turn away as the door reappeared with a smiling angel beholding it as he spread his arms wide, just in time as a dark-haired lady came flying through, backwards, the angel supporting her just as she almost fell.

"Welcome aboard Ms. Jennings, I'm going to call you Kat. Don't worry about the gaps in your memory, Imade sure to get all of your brain before we pulled you out, but if you'd like to file a lawsuit against that punk that killed you, I can redirect you to our on-call lawyer, they love getting people off." The angel smiled just a hint too widely as he helped Kat into the bench across the aisle from Terry, the woman rubbing the side of her head woozily.

"Killed?"
