Tell Melanie the whole story.

You run down the events starting from when you first met Amina. As you go through the details, the college student listens intently, although you can tell from her expressions that some of your claims are hard for her to believe. You continue on up until you finish with your arrival at the apartment and wait for her to respond. She mulls over your explanation for an uncomfortable minute before responding.

"Well, your story would explain why the school closed in the middle of the week, but that could be because of any other reason," she starts. "Of course, the love effects do feel real, but it could just be something natural... still, assuming that your story is true, something still doesn't make any sense to me."

"What's that?" You ask.

"Why is she fixated on you?" Melanie analyses, "She got your magic pendant, so it's not like you have anything she wants. If it were me, I would have took off and maybe wiped your memory of all of this."

"... what are you saying?"

"That I don't get what's so important about you that Lynn would go through all this trouble to tease you with returning your magic and leaving Amina here with you when she could just go and have nothing to do with you at all." Melanie explains.

"... well, that's why I wanted to talk to Stacy about her. She's Lynn's best friend, she's bound to know her reasoning."

Melanie rubs her chin as she thinks back, "I know Lynn pretty well. Precocious and quite the schemer. Such a bad influence on Stacy. Could be that she's just interested in playing with you. You are the only one who knows about her magic, after all, so maybe she's having fun with that fact by tormenting you like this."

"She could do that to anyone... like the people she got **** on at the school." You point out.

"Sure, but they wouldn't know what's happening to them, they'd just be victims of the magic. You, on the other hand, know all about the wishes and genie, so she can taunt you with that." Melanie points out. "I mean, she'd have to go out of her way to explain the whole thing to someone else, but you are more convenient."

You frown, "So I'm just a convenient toy for her."

Melanie shrugs, "Could be. Or maybe she's secretly got a crush on you and this is how she's showing it..."

You think back to the other night with Lynn on the deserted island. You then recall the jealous ex-boyfriend and shake your head. "She's definitely messing with me."

"Aww, who's messing with you? Should I cast a hex on them?" Lynn asks in a melodious tone with her head popping in from the doorway.

"Ah!" Melanie yells before snatching up her bed sheets to cover herself. "How'd you get in here?"

"I just got back from shopping with my best-est friend, Stacy," Lynn replies, walking in, "My ears were burning, so I had to see what was going on!"

"I didn't say you could come in!" Melanie says, indignantly.

"Hey Stacy!" Lynn calls out, "Mel's in here naked with Riley and Amina!"

"Who's Amina?" Stacy calls back to her. You all stare awkwardly at each other until Stacy pokes her head in, "Oh hello!" She looks to you, "I remember you from the girl's washroom. You sure like to go around naked. Did you guys want some lunch? I can call for pizza!"
