Tell Melanie about the love spell.

"Melanie, you're under a magic spell," you explain.

"Excuse me?" she quirks her eyebrow incredulously.

"You've fallen in love with Amina even though you're not into girls."

"Maybe we just click?" The sociology student tries to justify. You give her your incredulous look and she relents. She turns to Amina and says, "Alright, it IS a little weird that I've suddenly gotten these feelings for you... but we can't control our feelings... I know you're feeling it too. Even if it's all magic, what's the harm?"

Amina looks back into Melanie's eyes and they begin to close in for another kiss until you interrupt it. "Everyone is in love with Amina."

"Well, what's not to love?" Melanie states.

"And everyone will do crazy things for that love, right? Like hypnosis?" you point out.

"Yeah, I guess love can make you do some crazy things..." Melanie agrees.

"So you see how this can be dangerous right?" you add.

Melanie wraps her arms around Amina and tugs her close, "Then I'll just keep her here with me. She'll be safe."

"And you'll be under the spell forever."

"It's a sacrifice I'm willing to make."

"Are you really? You'll give up your school, future, everything for a girl you've just met?"

"Well... when you put it that way, it does seem a little impulsive."

You gather from her reasoning, that Melanie is logical person and hopefully can be talked out of rash thoughts of love. It doesn't mean the effects are totally gone though as she eyes Amina with passion.

"Why did you two come here anyways?" Melanie asks after a silent pause for contemplation.

"We were looking to talk to Stacy," you start.

"What does Stacy have to do with this love spell?" Melanie asks.

"It's her friend Lynn that we wanted to talk to her about," you explain. "She's the one who cast this spell."

Melanie nods her head, "I know Lynn. What did she do, use a love potion or something?"

You point to Amina, "She's a genie."

"Ah... of course," Melanie says sarcastically. "So, Lynn got a genie... you, Amina, and wished that you, her genie, were to have everyone around you fall instantly in love with you. Did I follow that correctly?"

Amina nods. "That's what happened."

"OK, so, assuming that magic does exist, why would Lynn decide to put a spell on her own genie and then leave her with... what's your name again?"

"Riley."

"Right. You. Why would she do that?"
