Tanya McVan isn't in the mood to cooperate

"You can't have a match with Lisa."

James was still trying to control his anger. As much as he'd have liked to let Tanya have it, he knew that at this point in his career, attacking his boss wouldn't pay.

"You let her attack me any time, for any reason, for a long time, and now that I've learned how to fight back, I suddenly can't? I know she's hiding from me! And I know you're just protecting her!"

Tanya looked him up and down. "I don't know where you learned to fight, you little twerp, or why it took you this long to start. I don't know whether our fans are willing to pay to see a skinny little guy win against bigger stronger women. But... I'm willing to find out. Just not against Lisa."

She stood up. "To be honest, James, I'm glad someone finally embarrassed Lena. I think you caught her by surprise and you'd have a lot more trouble with her in a rematch, but it's good to see her get knocked down a peg or two. She's really no different than Lisa's friends like Chichi and Dolly - she doesn't pick fights she thinks she'll lose, and she hides behind strong friends to avoid consequences. And when the stronger friend she hides behind is Becky Luv, she pretty much gets away with everything."

"I want to see if that match against Lena was a fluke or not. Try beating someone without hitting them from behind with a chair."

"They do that to me all the time!" James yelled.

"Yeah well you're supposed to be a good guy, deal with it. Or turn heel or something. You know what? Let's get you another match. Something against someone who isn't a joke, but isn't established. Hmm... how about Amelia Beckett? She hates men, and because she wanted to join the mixed division and we don't have any men good enough to challenge Simone, I almost never have any reason to put her on TV. Beat her, and I'll give you a match with Chesty Lane - beat Chesty and that earns you a match with Chantz. Sound fair?"

"It does." James admitted. He wondered why Tanya was being reasonable. Maybe she was just hoping to distract him with Chantz so he'd leave Lisa alone, he thought.

"Oh, one more thing James. If you're interested in turning heel, we could do a match with Kimmy Brightlight instead."
