Taern the Elven Ninja

A woman stands nearby. She has beautiful white hair flowing down just to her neck, as well as two fluffy feline ears protruding up from her head. Her eyes are silver, and a tail extends out through a hole cut into her attire. In every way, one would describe her as a sexy ninja. Her outfit consists of a black one-piece that shows off her inner thighs, and it wraps around her bust deeply enough to showcase her cleavage. Just above that is a cloth wrapped around her neck to function as a mask if need be. Fabric also covers her upper arms down to her wrists, and she wears thigh-high stockings and tabi shoes. A bow hangs from her back, and she has a short blade sheathed to her side.

The wind picks up. Her hair blows wildly, but she stares deeply in thought towards the hills in the distance. Behind two of them are buildings, and to their left, a road that extends onwards.

Tearn leans back against the wall of a home behind them. He has loose, thin black clothing concealing much of his body--something difficult to see, but easy to maneuver in. This includes gloves and tabi shoes. Alike his companion, a single sheathed blade hangs from his belt, along with a series of throwing stars, pouches, and more. His hood is currently down, revealing his messy white hair, and his long, pointed ears. He has a fair complexion as is the norm for an elf, and despite being an adult, he has a youthful face--perhaps even moreso than is to be expected.

"Snow," he speaks up. "Are you really sure about this?"

"I am," she replies.

"It is a little strange is all. Pledging yourself to a succubus."

Elves speak more properly than most humans. It isn't even something they think much about. One could even say it's a sort of accent. When they aren't speaking their own tongue, they rarely use contractions, but don't let that fool you. They come across and graceful and proper, but they can be as lewd as anybody else.

"She saved my life. I owe her everything. Until I feel like my debt is paid off, I will server her with every fibre of my being."

"It sounds kind of kinky, honestly," he mutters.

Snow bonks him on the head. "I like boys, okay? Well, I prefer them, but..."

"Well you are not going to find one in a cave in the middle of nowhere."

She turns back to the hills and crosses her arms. "Perhaps not. It's none of your business, is it, pervert?"

"Why am I a pervert now?!"

"Don't you have a job to do?" She sighs. "You have more important things to worry about than what I'll be doing. I won't live in a cave for the rest of my life. I hope that's not what you were thinking."

He pulls a small slip of parchment from one of his pouches and glances over it briefly. "Yes," he replies softly. "Lord Dennison wants me to retrieve a certain crystal from--"

"What kind of ninja just tells people their mission?"

Quickly, he purses his lips.

Snow shakes her head. "You're an idiot. It's a miracle you even succeed these missions of yours."

"I am not that bad! Plus, I have a new secret weapon."

"And I assume you're going to tell me, ruining the point of it being a secret."

"N-No. Of course not."

She chuckles under her breath. Then, she turns, and reaches out with her hand. Tearn extends his own and grips it tightly, and the two shake. They look into each others eyes--two friends parting ways to perhaps meet again one day. It's bitter sweet, but not uncommon. Ever since they trained together, they knew what it meant to be a hired hand. They're mercenaries, although much more subtle than your axe-swinging adventurer. Ninjas have jobs, and they finish them. No questions asked.

Snow has her own mission, even if she granted it to herself. It's time to depart.

Man. Snow is so hot. I envy the man she ends up with. Anyway, I need to get my head on straight. I have a mission to do. The next time we meet, I want her to be proud of me. I am not an idiot! And things will be even easier now that I found this powerful magic item.

As she walks into the distance, Tearn strokes a ring hidden under his glove. Though nobody can see it, the band is wide and made from a beautiful, pure silver, and it's set with a series of deep blue crystals all around it. In between the gems are intricately crafted swirls. It was the most beautiful ring he had ever seen when he first found the thing, and then he discovered what it did.

When he stands perfectly still, he's able to turn invisible! If he budges at all, the invisibility wavers. He even must control his breathing lest the movement be too much and he start to appear. Fortunately, he's quite good at that. Also, blinking seems to be all right. It's such a tiny, small movement, that even though the air where they're present likely flickers a tiny bit, nobody would notice.

Taern grins. This is a tough mission too. I will make bank off this, and improve my reputation as a ninja.
