Swing with amulet

You swing hard with hand holding the amulet by its chain. Your hand misses her, yet the amulet strikes her. She stops as if she was stunned. You swing the amulet around trying to fend away the others. The ones that are struck by the amulet freeze the others who realize what's happening to their sisters retreat.
You pry the hand of the snail girl off you with great effort. Then slowly navigate through the rest of them. You look back at the frozen attackers and wonder if the effects are permanent. You look at the amulet and it has a picture of the snail girls on it. And on the other side a man wearing the amulet being hoisted but the girls. You wonder if you should experiment or get out of there.
