Chapter 14 by DrRyuku DrRyuku

What's next?

Suspicious Potions

Skye presses her body against you, burying her face in your neck as the two of you embrace. Her warm breasts squish against you, and you resist the urge to reach down her back to grope her round ass. Dammit, your boner's coming back now that a hot naked girl is hugging you. Instead of reaching down, you move one hand up and start to stroke her hair. Her golden locks are soft and silky, despite the rough treatment they've gone through. Skye lets out a sigh as you run your hand through her hair and down her back. Warm air tickles your neck, and you continue to stroke her hair as her sighs slowly turn into heavy breaths. After a while, Skye pulls back, and you can see her blushing as she quickly turns away.

"I'm going to check on my dress." She says and walks towards the bush wrapped in her tattered sundress. She picks up her vest on the way and puts it on, covering up her upper chest. You admire her ass as she sways away from you, imagining what you would have done to her if you beat her in a battle. She pulls her dress off the bush with a grunt, screaming in frustration as it tears even more.

"Fucking bitch shit asshole cunt smurf!" She rages, looking at the quarter of the dress still stuck to the bush. Skye slumps dejectedly, before coming to a decision and wrapping what's left around her waist. Her yellow sundress is now a miniskirt that tightly clings to her ass, stopping on her upper thigh to show off most of her long pale legs. Her makeshift outfit covers her chest, the tight vest barely containing her breasts and leaving her arms bare. Her midriff is exposed all the way from her underboobs to just below her navel, and a thin band of tattered yellow fabric protects her modesty. Black boots protect her feet and half her calves. Skye looks incredibly sexy in an "I just survived the apocalypse" kind of way. You pick up her soaked panties and offer them to her with a questioning look as she storms toward you.

"Oh, uh, thanks." Skye blushes as she takes her underwear back. She grimaces at its wetness before slowly putting it on with a very uncomfortable look on her face. About halfway up one knee, she changes her mind and with her face burning crimson, she tosses it away.

"I-I can't wear that." She says softly, and you understand.

"I don't want to be a burden, but if you're heading to Viridian City, is it possible, maybe, if you're cool with it, to let me tag along?" She asks nervously before stammering, "I-I can let you stay in my house so you don't have to buy a room!" That's a good deal for you. Pokécenters only offered shared rooms for free, and the private ones would run you around 200-300 PD a night. Plus, the shared ones were often full in the bigger cities due to all the trainers.

"Sure! I could use the company for the walk." You reply brightly and she smiles at you in relief. Skye rushes off to grab her Pokédex and backpack before coming back to you. You're waiting with your hands in your pockets and as she gets next to you, she slips her arm around yours and leans against your shoulder. You're a little startled at the familiarity she's exhibiting, but it does feel nice, so you start walking and she matches your pace while limping.

"You okay?" You ask after watching her limp for a while.

"Yeah, it's just that my ass hurts. It was the first time I ever had anything up there, let alone something so big." She groans. You smirk inwardly as you think about what would have happened if you beat her.

"We can take it easy." You say, and slow down the pace.

"So why did you become a trainer?" Skye asks, and you think. Why did you become a trainer? Your default answer is because you crave adventure, but really, Pokémon is all you've ever known. There are no other options for you.

"I wanted to explore the world and train Pokémon." You reply, and she nods.

"Same here. My parents wanted me to be a nurse like them, a human nurse by the way. But I wanted to stretch my wings!" She says dreamily. "So what's your starter?"

"I have a Charmander. He's so cute and so deadly. I've won 4 battles with him so far!" You gush, and Skye grins at your passion.

"You're cute." She says, reaching up to poke your nose and you startle.

"Not as cute as you." You reply, not having any idea how to reply to the compliment. But it seems like a good answer as Skye's grin widens and she rests her head on your shoulder.

"So any siblings?" She asks.

"Nope, just me and my mom. How about you? You said you had a sister right?"

"Yep, a sister and an older brother. He's a doctor, and he teases both of my parents mercilessly, saying that he outranks them. My sister wants to be just like me when she grows up, and I'm going to take your advice. I won't collect badges, and by the time she becomes a trainer, I'll be beating the shit out of Smurf cunts."

The two of you walk and converse, getting to know each other, and the sun starts to slowly disappear over the horizon. Shit, this is bad. Rattatas would start to come out, and with Charmander on low hp and Skye's starter out of commission, if you got attacked it would be bad. You're fast, but Skye's tight skirt doesn't offer much mobility.

"We should hurry, my Pokémon's on low health." You say, and the two of you start jogging. But it isn't fast enough. Before long, your shadows stretch across the ground and the sky is set ablaze with the pinks and reds of sunset. You have around half an hour before dark, and you're still an hour away from the city.

"Hey!" A man calls from the tall grass. Nope. Bye, bye random stranger that's probably a trainer. The two of you speed up and start sprinting. As long as he doesn't shout a challenge, you aren't required to engage with him.

"I'm not a trainer! I just want to talk to you about your car's extended warranty!" He shouts, and both of you stop. What? Car warranty?

An overweight, middle-aged man steps out of the tall grass and bends over panting for breath. You and Skye look at each other in confusion as you wait for him to catch his breath. He's wearing a lab coat, some nice dress pants, and some fancy black shoes. He definitely doesn't look like a trainer.

"Whew... Okay. Hi, my name is Dr. Scorchfield, Dr. Johnathan Geico Scorchfield." He pants, "And I'm trying to test out my research. You two are Pokémon trainers right?"

"Yeah..." You say warily, and he beams at you.

"Excellent! Are your Pokémon healthy right now? Again, I'm not going to challenge you, I just want to know."

"No, my Pokémon fainted," Skye replies, and you stay silent.

"Good, good. Now young lady, how would you like to spray your Pokémon with this potion? I've been trying to catch a Pidgey all day, but those darned birds are too fast. And those Rattatas just run away from me." He hands her a tiny spray bottle and Skye looks at it uncertainly. The bottle isn't much to look at, a clear vial that's maybe 2-3 mL in size filled with a red liquid.

"What does it do?" She asks.

"To put it simply, I've infused the normal health potion with rays from the Pokémon healing machine. It should be 10 times better, but I, unfortunately, don't have a license to experiment on captive Pokémon. And as you can see, I'm no spring chicken to run after wild ones."

Hmm, an unlicensed researcher asking us to spray our Pokémon with a mystery liquid. What could possibly go wrong?

"Okay," Skye says suspiciously and calls out her Pidgey. It flops on the ground, completely ****. "Just spray it?"

"Yep, just use up all the contents of the bottle." He answers, and Skye walks around her Pidgey, spraying it from every angle. She empties the vial and hands it back to him. The doctor pulls out a tablet and begins to type furiously into it while muttering to himself. After a few seconds, he looks up and seems to realize that we're still here.

"Oh yes, the potion will take a few minutes to work. Just leave your Pokémon here until it works." He says absently, waving us off. The two of us just stand there and wait anxiously. After a minute, Skye's Pidgey stirs and opens its eyes.

"Pidgey!" Skye shrieks, and rushes over to it. She starts to rub its head while it wearily leans against her. She pulls out her Pokédex and gasps before handing it to you. Curiously, you look at what she has open. To your surprise, Pidgey's health bar is rapidly climbing.

"Amazing! It's working better than I expected!" The researcher gasps. "Say, if either of you has a different species, would you like to try it on them?"

It seems to be working well, so with a shrug, you call out your Charmander. He's looking pretty beat up and hugs your legs anxiously. You take another vial from the man and start spraying your starter. The effects are much faster this time. Within seconds, the scratches and bruises on Charmander's body start to heal, and your Pokémon gets up to full at roughly the same time as Skye's Pidgey. And to your surprise, he levels up too! It seems that whatever concoction in that potion not only heals Pokémon but makes them grow as well! He's level 9, and your Pokédex beeps to let you know that he's learned the move "Ember". You debate letting out your Rattata but decide against it for fear of losing it.

"Excellent results! It seems that my potion is more effective on fire types, just as hypothesized. Hmm, so that means that using extra zinc increases the rate of RNA transcription for fire types. Maybe next I can try extra magnesium ion and see if…” He trails off in scientific jargon and you look over at Skye. She shrugs and you cough to get his attention.

“Oh, that’ll be all. Thank you for the data.” He says and waves you off, too engrossed in his tablet to really pay attention. The two of you recall your Pokémon, thank him for his help, and start walking toward Viridian City.
