Surprise Celebratory Dinner

The two of you walk in through the door, and Giovanni is the first to greet you. "Ah, welcome back. You know, Irina, I'm almost surprised that you got the law involved in this one. Pleased, but surprised." "Shut up, Giovanni," she gives him a bit of a glare, "I'm already half regretting not finding a way that doesn't involve the law." Huh, can't say you dis-agree with her on that one — for all its utility, the legal system isn't exactly the friendliest. "Anyways, do come into the kitchen; we've prepared a special dinner welcoming you back. "Really, Athena's golden child cooked?" "Okay, Violet prepared a special dinner. I set the table though!" Irina simply rolls her eyes at this.

The baker made a dinner? What's for dinner, ham and cheese bread?

You get to the table, and see various dishes that can best be described as self-apportionable or pre-portioned. A fruit salad composed of bananas, mangos, pineapple, and apples. Spiced apple muffins (looks like they have some pepper and some cloves). And of course, ham and cheese muffins with some form of herb on them; doesn't seem to be a local herb. Doesn't seem like many here know about the herb either, until Qilen speaks up, "so where did you get rosemary?" "A warlock has her secrets." Well, that just gave you more questions than answers. Partnered with the meal is a rose wine, which actually pairs surprisingly well with the dinner. It's certainly an odd arrangement, but nevertheless works.

The topic of dinner bounces to various themes, but does keep circling back to the legal trials, and your adventure breaking up the **** ring. Surprisingly, the rogue Faexina doesn't disapprove of getting the town guard: "you made the most of your abilities and the situation at hand, and the guard were the best tool you had available given such."

The rest of dinner proceeds, conversation continuing, until eventually conversation dies down and you head to bed for the night.
