Suppertime and Studytime

You plan to meet up with Isabella after supper that day, around 7 PM. That'll give you enough time to recover from your workout, brush up on some of your statistics knowledge (which was the math class Isabella was in), and finish up some work you needed to do on Monday.

Checking the Affection Multiplier during the day gave you an idea. You looked at the "Great Student" perk and wondered if you could give it to Isabella, as it might help her retain the material better. There was nothing in the instructions that mentioned if you could give it to Isabella, and you didn't want to accidentally use your points on this perk you weren't interested in just in case you couldn't give it to her.

Additionally, it'd be a nice boost to your confidence if you were able to teach Isabella these complex principles without the help of any magical powers. You weren't the greatest tutor, especially with people you didn't know that well, but Isabella wasn't a person who scared you.

Before going out to supper, you took one last check in the Affection Multiplier, and saw something weird:

That was weird. You could understand why Amy's scores were going up if she was excited to see you, but Summer's scores going up were a mystery, because you hadn't really talked to her at all since the football game. Maybe she was just thinking about you or something?

Thankfully, it wasn't raining this time when you were going out, although it did deal positive results last time.

You met Amy at the door to the dining hall, and she greeted you with a hug.

That was certainly something new. You two had hugged before, like when you were proud of her from getting into college, or getting fourth place in an all-state band competition. This was different, though. She lingered in the hug, which you figured had to be because of her changing relationship with you. You didn't need a helping hand to help you out with that one.

"Hey, I haven't seen you all day", she said.

"It's been really hard to get through", you said in a joking manner, although her tone would suggest more seriousness.

The two of you got a table and started talking about what you had done that day.

"So you and Isabella are getting together to work on schoolwork?" she said.

"Yeah, and she's going to help me get in better shape in the mornings," you finished.

Her face contorted a little bit at that, before she offered, "I can help you two studying this evening, I'm taking statistics right now".

That meant you could probably advance your relationship with two girls at once, and if that Helping Hand from yesterday told you anything, Amy wouldn't feel all too comfortable with you spending alone time with another girl. Maybe having her there would work out for the better.

"That sounds good", you said. "I'll let her know that you're coming along to help out too."

You shot Isabella a text letting her know that Amy wanted to help out a little bit since she was currently in that class. Isabella's response wasn't negative, as she had a cordial relationship with Amy, but it wasn't ecstatic.

You and Amy met up with Isabella at the library like you had previously planned.

"Wow, you two are inseparable", Isabella said. "Guess I'll have to use that workout excuse more often if I want Cody to myself".

You were surprised that was her first statement, especially because of how forward she was being in front of Amy. Amy bristled at the statement, getting a little defensive, but she lightened up a little bit after that.

"Well, I have some notes here that I took in class the other day", Amy said, changing the subject back to schoolwork. "The three of us can look over them together, and do the work together".

"Sounds good to me", Isabella said, backing off a bit.

"No objections here", you said.

It was interesting to see the dynamic between Isabella and Amy. Isabella was really assertive, and while Amy could be assertive, she wasn't unwilling to compromise. Something in the Affection Multiplier's Traits might help with that sort of hostility later, but that wasn't something that was available at the moment.

As your study session comes to a close with you three finishing all of the work, you make plans to meet up on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, as those were the days you didn't have band practice after school.

Amy didn't hesitate to give you a hug after the study session, probably as a show to Isabella.

"Get a room, you two", Isabella says.

You roll your eyes as Isabella continues with, "Well, I guess I'll see you two on Tuesday".

She leaves the library with her books, and you walk Amy back to her dorm room again, like a courting couple from the 50's. Once you head back to your apartment, you check the Affection Multiplier.
