Chapter 8 by Zeebop Zeebop

How does Sue Storm's confrontation with Porkum go?

Sue Storm Gets Distracted Going Through The Kitchen Where The Chocolates Are Made

Invisible **** fields cushioned her step. Picking locks was easy, when she could make the outer portions of the lock invisible and manipulate the tumblers with invisible picks. Silent and unseeable as the night itself, Sue Storm slipped into Porkum's hideout utterly undetected. Her research on the building had given her a general layout, but as soon as the Invisible Woman was inside, she saw that it had been remodeled. So she tread cautiously, ready for anything.

It didn't do to underestimate one's enemy.

Yet something tickled Sue's nostrils. Just the slightest whiff of sweetness and bitterness that made her salivate. She shivered, eyes dilated in the darkness as she moved through a bland and abandoned front office to what had been the pork packing floor. Only to find that someone had turned it into a kitchen.

By the emergency lighting, Sue Storm saw the doors to the great walk-in freezers. Huge mixing bowls. Ovens. Industrial dishwashers and containers of sanitizing fluids, bags of raw cacao beans that would be roasted and ground. Yet pervading over all was that smell, richer now, stronger than she had ever experienced. The impossibly rich smell of raw chocolate made her mouth water. Beneath that...that bitter, almost cleaning-chemical smell that made her stomach churn. Sue felt a bit of drool drip from the corner of her mouth and wiped it away. Shook her head to clear it, to focus.

Then she saw them.

Laid out in the open, fresh from the oven to cool.

Dozens of bonbons.

Sue Storm swallowed heavily. Her heartbeat filled her ears. She glided forward cautiously, sensitive to any hint of movement. There was no sign of Porkum or anyone else. The disgusting pig-man was hiding, or, more likely, hadn't realized that Sue was here. He had just...left these out...

All for me? Sue thought as she hovered over the tray. Her palms itched, suddenly sweaty, and she rubbed them on her costume. Eyes fixed on the little brown orbs. These were a little different from before. Half of them were covered by a swirl of darker chocolate, and the other half looked glazed with some off-white coating.

The Invisible Woman's resolve seemed to drain out of her as she reached for the nearest bonbon.

Just one, she lied to herself. Just one, and then I'll arrest him. Just a taste, just...

She bit through the chocolate coating to suck out the still-warm rich goo within. Her eyes rolled back in her head as she suppressed a moan. They were better fresh. Stronger. The rush of endorphins that hit her brain was like the first taste of sex, that first push of a prick between her lips. To any onlooker, it would have looked as if the bonbon had simply levitated into the air and disappeared in two bites.

For a moment, she swallowed and felt bliss, fulfillment. Then her stomach rumbled. The moment passed, and left behind an aching, terribly void inside of her.

Almost without thinking, Sue reached for the next bonbon.

Then another. And another.

Sue Storm moaned, lost in a terrible rush of indulgence as she stuffed the chocolates into her face almost as fast as she could. For the first time, Sue felt some understanding of the addict's need for a ****. The way the addiction would twist all their decisions. The terrible temptation that required more than willpower to resist. If only she had brought someone else, maybe they could have stopped her.

Except Sue Storm was alone. Wasn't she?

Does anyone discover Sue Storm in Porkum's lair?
