Suddenly Enemies Everywhere

As John held the digitamas close to his chest, he felt a powerful surge of energy between himself and the two digitamas. The digital eggs began to glow just as the derps’ own digitama did earlier in the day.

“Ooooo,” said one derp.

“Preeeeeeetty!” said the other as their two baby digimon also watched on in amazement. The girls and Leomon gathered around John to watch the joyous occasion as the two digitama became even more bright. John could now feel heat radiate off both of the digitamas but he refused to let them down. These are my future digimon and I will not let them go until they hatch! he thought to himself.

“Hang on, John, the digitama are about to hatch!” Leomon told John as the light of the two digitama got so bright nobody was able to see.

“I can’t see!” Mimi cried out.

“Me too!” replied Yatina.

“Let’s hold each other!” the two said as they gave the other one a giant bear hug.

“Oh, and our new friends!” Mimi remembered.

“Yes!” Yatina agreed as the two derps quickly grabbed their own baby digimon and hugged them tightly as they also hugged each other.

“Like, even I can’t stand the light show” Sam said as she covered her eyes with her hand to shield them from the overly bright lights the digitama shone.

“Even I, as a former Priestess of the Light, can not deal with this intensity,” Gali said as she turned away from John to protect her own sight.

“This is so messed up!” Shelly grumbled as she hid behind a log to not deal with any of what happened with John.

John held the digitama close to his chest, with no intention to let them go, as he poured his wishes into the digital eggs. You two are our only hope of getting out of this weird room that’s actually the Digital World and getting back to the compound! John said to himself, his very hope went into the digitamas. The two digitama finally reached their limit as cracks appeared along the shells until two baby digimon burst through the shells and showed themselves to John, their tamer.

“Well you look at that, you’re both the same type of digimon!” John said as he held up the two digimon. “You both seem to be YukimiBotamon, like what Mimi has,” John said as he held the two digimon up. “Look everyone, I have digimon partners now!” John said happily as he held up the two digimon.

“Yuyu, now you have even more friends!” Mimi said happily as she held up her own YukimiBotamon up to John’s digimon.

“You too, Momo!” Yatina said as she held up her digimon to join the others. All four of the digimon began to purr at each other or make strange noises that nobody but the baby digimon seemed to understand.

“What are they saying, Leomon?” asked Gali as she and the others gathered around the baby digimon as the creatures talked to each other in their mysterious language.

“I am not entirely sure. Baby digimon speak in a way most grown digimon can’t quite understand. So I’m afraid only they know what they are talking about,” Leomon told the group.

“What?” asked Yatina.

“You guyses dunno what they’re saying?” Mimi asked as both derps gave them a quizzical look.

“Wait, don’t tell me you two can?!” John asked, completely stunned.

“Yep!” the two said in unison.

“Fascinating!” Leomon said as he discovered the two derps could understand baby digimon.

“They are getting to know each other,” Mimi told the group.

“Yep. And talking about how they felt a great power while in their eggs that made them hatch!” Yaya informed everyone present.

“Ah yes, legends state that digimon bonded with tamers can draw on the tamers to gain unfathomable power,” Leomon explained to John and his friends. “It seems that, in this case, the digimon used it to get enough power to hatch into their baby forms,” Leomon told them.

“Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow!” the two derps said in unison as they looked up to Leomon with big eyes.

“Doggie man is so smart!” Yatina said in awe.

“He deserves pats!” Mimi decided as the two derps began to pat his legs since they could not reach his head.

“Why thank you, young ladies,” Leomon told the derps. “You two are splendid to be around,” he told them to happy giggles from the derps.

“I’m happy you two chose to accept me as your tamer,” John told his two YukimiBotamon. “Together, we’ll save this world and get us home! And maybe,” John said optimistically, “I can use you guys in the regular Abyss too,” he said as he patted his two digimon, who happily pewed at him.

“They said ‘Yay pats!’” Mimi informed John.

“Uh oh, sounds like you two now have competition for pats!” John said with a laugh.

“NoooooOoOoOoOooOooooo!” the two derps screamed in unison as they hugged each other and their digimon.

“Don’t worry, girls, I’ll always have pats for you!” Gali said as she gave both of them pats to cheer them up.

“And, like, I’ll join in, too!” Sam said as she patted the two digimon, who happily accepted the pats.

“Well, at least now we have a fighting chance,” Shelly said with, what John thought, was a modicum of hope.

“So it seems,” John replied to Shelly. “Well, at least once they evolve a few more times. Baby I and baby II stages aren’t really good at fighting but if we can get even one of our four digimon to the child level, we’ll be in business,” John told the group.

“Until then, you can count on me to pro-” Leomon started before he was cut off by a wicked laugh.

“HA HA HA!” a voice from the air said. “I’VE FOUND YOU, MY PRETTIES!” said the voice before it said an attack. “BALULUNA GALE!” yelled the voice as a powerful wind **** its way through the forest, trees were felled by the powerful attack of the Witchmon as she swooped down like every witch from every Halloween movie ever made.

“Urgh!” grunted Leomon as he used himself to block the attack to protect the others.

“Leomon!” Gali gasped with concern.

“Like, we need to move,” Sam told the group. “He can’t like fight and tots protect us at the same time!” she explained to the group. John nodded in agreement.

“Sam is right. Let’s retreat to give Leomon some breathing room,” John ordered John as he grabbed his two YokumiBotamon and began to find a path for them all to leave. Gali told the derps it was time to go to a new place to play, which they happily skipped along with the others as they carried their own digimon on their heads. The foursome seemed rather happy and oblivious to the fight that occurred behind them. Gali and Sam made sure the two derps were safe while Shelly was at the rear to keep an eye on the battle as John lead the group through the woods.

“Kekekeke, look at what we found, fellas!” a feline looking digimon said to his friends. They were covered in grey fur, walked on their hind legs, and had very sharp claws on their feet and hands. Their fluffy ears that looked a bit like wings would be amazing to touch if it were not for the sharp fangs in these digimons’ mouths. They looked like trouble and apparently wanted to cause some for John and his gang.

“Hey there, guys,” John told them as he moved to the side to give them a smaller profile to attack. “We’re just trying to make our way through the forest. We don’t want any trouble,” John told the digimon that stood before the group.

“Oh but where’s the fun in that?” asked the lead digimon which caused his compatriots to laugh.
