Chapter 9 by Mike the Red Mike the Red

Study Finance

I flipped open one of the finance textbooks and began skimming through it. Not surprisingly, it bore a strong resemblance to several of the books that I had back in college. As I turned the pages, I found myself comparing each chapter to cases that I'd worked. My career at the FBI hadn't been long, but it had given me ample experience with how people could **** what the textbook taught.

The next book was far more abstract and covered many theories that either bore no resemblance to what actually went on in the business world or had been readily disproven, yet continued to be published for the sake of torturing students, I guess.

I tossed that book aside and picked up a third. This one must have been meant for grad students or professionals, since it didn't talk down to the reader and I actually lost track of time as I parsed.
