Stopping For a Moment

Knowing they can't stay here Take and Malphiel head back to the rest area for the moment. Not to rest, but to have a moment to think. One voice wants to head to the goblins, the other wants to avoid the goblins for now. One also wants to rest, while the other wants to just heal and keep moving.

For the moment they stop in the rest area and Malphiel does use Heavenly Soothing to heal her body. Take sits by the pond for a moment, staring at the water and then looks over at the flower, "it still hasn't bloomed," she mutters. "Hey Malphiel do you think the Tower has things that don't matter?" she asks.

"What? I mean that depends what you mean by that?" Malphiel asks coming over to her.

"Well like this flower. Do you think it has a purpose? The Tower wouldn't put a random unbloomed flower in a rest area just as... decoration I guess? Right?" Take asks.

Malphiel looks thoughtful, "I mean no I guess the Tower doesn't usually put things around that don't serve some purpose. I can't imagine what it might be useful for though. The obvious question though is just, is it something here to help or hurt you. It's in the rest area which implies it's here to help. Maybe we can take it and use it as ingredients like in that lantern room?" Malphiel suggests.

Take stares at the flower for a bit and then sighs and reaches down, cups some water from the pond and splashes it on her face. "I hope Gako is..." she starts and then hesitates, "alive..." she finishes lamely.

"We had no choice. We'll save her though," Malphiel promises and Take nods weakly and then pulls her knees in and hugs them against her chest.

"Do you think... It could have grabbed one of us? Do you think it grabbing Gako was... Us getting lucky? I don't know what we'd do if it had trapped one of us in that Stockade..." she admits.

"I think... We did get very lucky there," Malphiel admits.

"I hope we can get through this. It's not a bad idea to search out Nagi, I hope we find her soon," Take admits.

"We'll head back towards the cave and take the other path. The voice said something about an elven town, maybe she's there?" Malphiel suggests. Take nods and stands back up, stretching.

"I'm ready to go if you are," she says.

"I'm ready. It's probably best not to take a proper rest while that creature is so close by anyway," Malphiel agrees.
