How does he not die?

Step back, slowly, extremely so, to the point of being mistaken for an inanimate object.

He took one step back, running away would be certain ****. That thing was sure to have agility in the 50's or higher, maybe even 70 since it was an {Apex} variant.

Every step back took more than a dozen seconds, but that was fine. It seemed that the black tooth was savoring the meal and would take a while before it finished, though it did pause every time his foot hit the ground.

But he couldn't risk staying any longer, he needed to get away.

He became even more cautious, every step taking more than a half a minute. For his life, he had to bring out the full extent of his patient nature.

It leveled up again, giving him to confidence to slightly decrease the amount of time spent per step.

Then a dozen steps later...

The sun went under the horizon, and the source of his endless panic just laid down after taking a casual glance around, slightly stopping in his direction before continuing with its life. The food was just waiting there for it to awake for another meal.

Hours later, he finally got far enough away for him to semi-confidently sneak away back to home base.

'...Extra stats actually exist?' Gon was completely bewildered, he thought it was just a lie from the hob-goblins.

Taking a look at the available classes, a new one popped up along with the other four:

Class 1: [Hunter]: This class is offered to a being who has experience hunting, holding more than 20 kills of equal or higher level [Feral]s. This Class gives a starting growth bonus to [Hunt], [Trap] and [Tracking] skills of 1 level, Increases damage to [Feral] by 5%. This Class gives the class skill [Hunter's precision] that allows the user to see the weaknesses of a target and increases accuracy of attacks by 20%. This class gives 2 free class points per level and one point in [Agility], [Strength] and [Wisdom].

[Class Rarity: Uncommon]

Class 2: [Assassin]: This class is offered to a being who has killed 20 beings of the same level or higher without being directly associated to the **** by witnesses. Class increases damage to all [Feral], [Monsterous] and [Enlightened] by 10%. This Class gives the class skill [Silent ****] which decreases the sound and noticable traces of **** by 20% and [Unknowable kill streak] which increases speed and damage by 5% after killing a target without being noticed, staking up to a maximum of 50%. This Class gives 2 Free stat points per level and 1 point in [Strength], [Vitality], [Endurance] and [Wisdom] along with 2 points in [Agility]

[Class Rarity: Rare]

Class 3: [Trapper]: This class is offered to those with a [Trap] skill of level 3 or more, and have caught more than 10 creatures with traps. This class gives a starting bonus of increasing damage of traps by 5% and decreasing chance of traps being discovered by 5%. This class gives the class skill [Hemorrhagic traps], giving all traps a 10% chance of causing the [Hemorrhage] ailment instead of the [Bleed] ailment and its variants. This class gives 3 free stat points per level and 1 point in [Wisdom] and [Intelligence]

[Class Rarity: Uncommon]

Class 4: [Navigator]: This class is offered to those with a [Navigation] skill of level 4 or higher. Has the bonus of increasing growth of [Navigation] by 50%. This class gives the class skill of [Inherent directional intelligence] which allows the user to freely know the four cardinal directions at all times. This class gives 2 free stat points per level and 2 points to [Intelligence], [Wisdom] and [Agility].

[Class Rarity: Scarce]

Class 5: [Faceless coward]: This class is offered to someone who has hidden constantly in fear of the surroundings for more than three days, has been suppressed by beings ten times their level without them even remembering them for more than a year, has attacked beings five times their level without being directly detected, and has hidden and fled from a hostile being twenty times their level or more while they were unaware of their existence, along with being in the presence of an {Apex} variant for more than an hour without them knowing while afraid. This class gives the bonus of increasing the growth rates of all skills related to running away, avoiding fights, indirectly attacking, attacking from a distance, ect by 200%. This Class gives the class skills [Faceless] which causes anyone without twice your wisdom and intelligence to not be able to recognize you nor your race and level while active, [Coward] Increases speed of running away by 100%, [Last stand] which allows the user to consume all of their mana and stop mana regeneration for the next hour to increase the strength of their next attack by 100%, and hold a 40% to inflict [Bleed], [Paralysis], [Burn], [Poison], [Confusion], [Madness], [Slowness], [Beserk], [Nausea], [Wet], [Constricted] and [Fear], all of which holding their own chance of appearing completely separated from the others. This class gives 5 points per level and 2 points to [Agility], [Intelligence] and [Vitality], 3 points to [Wisdom] and [Fortune].

[Class Rarity: Unique]

...Gon was, to say the least, happy.
