Stay at the campfire

Chloe watched Zack disappear into the woods after Heather and smiled to herself. She wondered if he'd actually do anything and felt a tingle at the idea of listening to him tell her about it later. I've really come out of my shell. She cleared her thoughts and turned her attention back to the discussion with Meagan and Caitlin. "So Caitlin, do you play any sports? I'm sure Meagan told you she and I both play soccer."

"I'm not really all that sporty," Caitlin confessed. "I'm more into video games."

"She's the fabled unicorn of sexy girl gamers," Leon boasted. "Too bad none of the guys have a chance with her."

"You never know," Kurt wiggled his eyebrows at Caitlin, "maybe she just hasn't met the right boy." Leon snorted at the idea but didn't argue. Caitlin rolled her eyes at Kurt and then pulled Meagan in to give her a strong kiss. Meagan kissed back and wrapped her arms around Caitlin as they both slipped tongues into the other's mouth. Kurt, along with everyone else, watched with rapt attention. "This really isn't doing anything to dissuade me," he joked as the girls ended their kiss.

Leon chuckled and shook his head. "If you have to pick a hill to die on, I guess there are worse ones."

"Come on girls," Meagan took Caitlin's hand and stood up. "Let's go back to our campsite and leave the poor boys to their fantasies." She started walking back through the woods towards the other clearing and motioned for Chloe to join them.

Gavin shook his head as the three girls disappeared. "Ah, I wanted to know what games she played."

Kurt looked at the boy with incredulity. "That's what you wanted to talk about?"

Victoria giggled and snuggled up to her boyfriend to whisper in his ear. "You know, Gavin. With Heather and Chloe away, my tent is all empty." She gave him a meaningful look.

Gavin gulped and felt his pulse quicken. "Right now? With everyone else outside the tent?"

Victoria continued to whisper. "We'll just have to be very quiet." She pulled Gavin towards the tent, though she did blush when she caught Ashley winking at her.

Kurt stood up as the two lovers disappeared into the tent. "I'm going to go find a bush." He disappeared into the woods, leaving only Brandon, Ashley, Leon, and Madison sitting around the fire.

Ashley snuggled up to Brandon and began kissing on his neck. Not wanting to be a third wheel, Leon shifted to sit over by Madison. He nudged the brunette as he sat down next to her, causing her to jump. He lowered his voice so only she'd hear him. "So I take it you like your brother."

"How did you," Madison blushed and stammered. "I mean, what are you talking about?"

"You've been making furtive glances at him all night." Leon continued to talk quietly, though he doubted Ashley or Brandon could hear him as Ashley had moved on from Brandon's neck to simply making out with her boyfriend. "Not to mention the envious look you're giving Ashley."

"I don't..." Madison turned even redder.

"I'm not judging," Leon held up his hands. "I'm a little envious myself. At least the person you're pining after is interested in your gender."

"You mean you like?" Madison realized what he was implying.

"Takes one to know one I guess," Leon sighed. "Alas, even without the **** issue, Caitlin still wouldn't be interested in me."

"So why are you stuck on her?" Madison hoped if she could get some insight into Leon's mind she'd maybe understand her own desires.

"Who knows," Leon shrugged. "The heart wants what the heart wants. Doesn't help that our family moves around a lot. I put on a good front but it's difficult to make deep relationships when you get uprooted every couple years. That's probably the reason I'm so fixed on Caitlin. She's been the one constant through all our travels."

"So have you told her how you feel?" Madison couldn't help feeling sorry for Leon.

He smirked. "Have you told Brandon?"

"Touche," Madison giggled nervously and sipped her beer.

Ashley was now pulling Brandon towards their tent. As the two disappeared inside, a feminine moan sounded from the tent Victoria and Gavin were in. Leon and Madison looked at each other and then broke out laughing.

Leon stood up and stretched. "Well, I'm going to head back to my tent."

As he started to walk away, Madison called after him, "You should tell her how you feel."

Leon paused and looked back. He smiled and shrugged before continuing towards the other clearing. "Consider taking your own advice," he called back.

Madison sat at the fire for a few minutes. She could hear Ashley giggling periodically and occasional moans came from both occupied tents. Should I take my own advice and talk to Brandon. I know he's interested back, but can I bring myself to face him? Madison realized she was kneeling outside the tent. She hadn't remember moving over to it. Taking a deep breath, she unzipped the tent and crawled in.
