Stab the couch!

Mimics were most **** in the brief moment they revealed themselves. Thinking quickly, Kasha drew a knife and thrust it into one of the eyes on the back of the sofa. With her hand that had been rummaging through the cushions, she had already grabbed a second knife, and stabbed it deep in between the cushions.

These attacks elicited a shriek of pain from the mimic, but after those two attacks the rug managed to swing up and crush Kasha down onto the cushions.

The mimic was wounded, but it now had her in its grip.
