Slash the tongue

As the tongue rolls up to pin Kasha to the couch, she whirls around and slashes with both her knives, tearing through the thin flesh.

The mimic shrieks even louder than before as part of the tongue falls away, and the mimic seems unable to harm Kasha without it.

Just to be safe, she jams one knife through the tongue to pin it to the floor, and then draws another as she goes to work finishing off the damned monster.

A few precise stabs later, and the mimic lets out a pitiful whine before vanishing in a puff of smoke.

In its place lay a pile of gold coins and a key, hopefully to the door out of this room.
