Spoiling Her

I find the spot on the wall where the mana changes and place an Explosive mark on it.

"What are you doing?" Myla asks me confused and I smile.

"I think there's a hidden room here." I answer and her eyes light up.

"Really!?" She asks and I nod before stepping back. I activate the mark and the wall explodes. Once the dust clears I see a familiar sight. A stairway leading up to a chest on the wall. Myla excitedly runs up to it with Hino closely behind. They open it up and pull out a rust covered sword. The sword is missing a third of its blade looks like it's about to fall apart. Myla looks at me disappointed and I have to hold back on calling her cute. I Observe the blade and read it.

King Of Lights Blade Lvl 50, Legendary

This blade was wielded by a once great King. He was a kind and benevolent man who had this sword forged. It has been Enchanted with various light magic. This gives it the ability to absorb and store light and deal Light damage on attack. It can then use that light to attack. It contains the blood of an Angel and will judge the person who holds it. If someone unworthy wields it it will cover itself in rust and wait for someone else. Deals 350 - 400 Light damage. Hidden Properties: If wielded by a Lyna who uses Light magic then it will boosts all their spells power by 10%. Durability: 465/500

"Myla, could you swing it?" I ask and she looks at me confused before hesitantly doing so. She swings the air and then holds it. She looks at it in awe as the rust falls off and the rest of the blade gathers light and appears from it. After a few seconds she's holding a new sword.

"What happened?" She asks in disbelief.

"This sword has Angel blood in it. It'll determine if the wielder is worthy or not. It can also store light within and use it to attack. Oh, it has a hidden skill that boosts the wielders Light magic by ten percent. But wouldn't you know it, I can't cast Light magic. If only I knew someone who did." I say and she squeals in excitement.

"Are you sure? It belongs to your guild." She says but hold the blade close to herself.

"Yeah, like I said, it boosts all Light magic. It'd be wasted on me or anyone else I know."

"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" She says repeatedly while hugging me. I start petting her and hear Hino start talking.

"Do you normally spoil your girlfriends like this?" She asks jokingly.

"Yep!" Luna answers. "He gave me this ring that makes me stronger and Asami got one that allows her to summon souls. And he gave me armor and these cool gauntlets!" She says making the others laugh.

"Thank you Eric. I mean it." Myla says. I take the chest again and we leave. Now we only have one way to go, aside from where we came from. We go in the room and Myla adjusts to her new blade well. We go five more rooms and slay 13 Minotaurs getting 13000 Exp and 8055$. We get to another room with only one other door and turn right again. We go through five more rooms slaying 12 more Minotaurs and getting 12000 Exp and 7429$. We turn right again and go through five more rooms. At this point I start getting a little bored as the excitement dies down from the repetition. We slay 15 more Minotaurs getting 15000 Exp and 9628$. We turn right and go through two doors getting 4000 Exp and 2582$ from four Minotaurs. We enter the next and find ourselves back at the entrance.

"I think that's enough for today." Hino says, clearly exhausted and I agree. While the Minotaurs were slow and easy to dodge, they were tanky. I'm exhausted from dodging then attacking and dodging and attacking.

"Lets go back to the safe zone!" Luna says excitedly. I don't know where she gets the energy from.

"What safe zone?" Myla asks and I explain we found one on the prior floor. We walk up the stairs and get to the safe zone without running into anything else.

"This is beautiful." Hino says looking around.

"It is." Myla agrees and we walk to the same patch of grass. I place a blanket on it and we sit down. We start eating and talk about the Ruins. Myla and Hino both say that this floor has been a good challenge and I agree. Aside from when Luna rushed ahead, we haven't worried that we'd die. It has been challenging but nothing too major.

"How do you think we'll handle the boss?" I ask aloud and the girls sigh.

"No clue. All bosses, including Mini Bosses, are random. In fact my father told me a story once of when he Explored some Ruins. He was fighting Shadow Golems which were weak to light, then the Floor Boss was a Nova. A Nova is a essentially an advanced Light Golem. So the bosses could be anything. Honestly I was a little surprised to hear the boss on the last floor had the same element as the monsters." Myla answers and I sigh. We finish eating and leave. We walk back home and we agree to continue tomorrow. Once I get back to my Domain Luna runs off to train some more.

"Seriously, where does she get it?" I say to myself and enter the bedroom.
