Something that shouldn't

You look around, but what little light your lair usually gets from the entrance is gone, blocked by a large slab of meat. The first thing you notice is the smell. Racid meat, dead a few days at the very least. Your eyes quickly adjust to the dark, and the image before you slowly comes into focus.

Its an undead ogre. It fills the entirety of your lair's entrance, and you can see multiple weapons sticking out of its decaying body. A large gash cuts across its distended stomach leaving its intestines free to dangle out. In its hand is a massive spiked club.

You quickly analyze the situation. The room is about 10 feet long, 8 feet tall, 6 feet wide, with only the one entrance. You have a spear, 3 throwing knives, and a carving knife. Overall, not good.

"Dear gods please let me make it out of this unscathed." You pray silently. As soon as the words are out of your mouth, your spear is enveloped in an ethereal light. It reminds you of moonlight, and it pisses off the zombie. It lets out a roar before it lumbers towards you, club ready to smash down on your head. You roll to the side, before stabbing your spear into it's knee cap, causing it to kneels as its leg gave out. It roars again and slams the club into your side sending you into the wall. Your health bar looses a sizable chunk and you think your bleeding, but you pick yourself up and hurl one of your knives into it's shoulder. It lumber's towards you and raises its club once more.

At the last second you dodge, narrowly missing the club. You quickly rush behind the ogre and with a feat of strength you slam the spear through it's stomach. It's health bar is just above half now, a good sign. You unstick you spear and try to get some distance, rushing towards the front of your lair. You dodge another swing but this time its prepared and as you dodge, it kicks you back a few feet. Your health bar is below half now, causing you to panic a bit. You quickly feel a cool embrace, similar to when you heard your name and your panic is gone. With a level head you quickly come up with a plan.

You prod the ogre a few times, using your spear's reach to your advantage, getting the massive zombie's health below half. As you do so, you manuver yourself into position in front of the entrance way. The ogre, angry at not being able to hit you for a few minutes now, charges at you as fast as it can. As it goes to clobber you, you slide under it's body and whirl around. With it's momentum, its only a few feet away from the falls. With all the strength and willpower you can muster you slam your spear into it's neck, piercing it's thick skin and giving it the push it needed to fall off your cliff. It lets out a frantic screech as it falls until it is no longer heard.

You quickly rush down the slippery path until you hit the lake side. There's no sign of the body, but a small bag surfaces and slowly floats towards you. Its a loot bag.

1x loincloth

Damn, not your spear. That was your best weapon. And it seems one of your throwing knives was lost as well. Hopefully you can find a way to fix it later. You return yo your lair and decide to see if your victory changed anything.

That... is concerning. If you have attracted the attention of a god, or something similar, that could either be really good, or really bad. That does explain the ethereal fire around your spear though. You decide to sleep on it, as it is the middle of the night.

The next morning you are abruptly awakened by a wet slap in the face. "What the!?" You yell as you get up. Before you is a stunningly beautiful woman, with pale white skin and hair, dressed in a thin blue dress.

"Yazas?" She askes, cocking her hip to the side.

"Yes?"

"I don't appreciate corpses falling into me in the middle of the night." She says.

"I take it this is your lake and waterfall?" You ask.

"Yes. So if you could refrain from sending people flying into me in the middle of the night, that would be great." She says before walking out of the cave. "Oh, there's a badger out here." She says before swan diving into the falls.

You walk out of your lair and see a good sized badger sitting outside. "Um, can i help you?" The badger sits up and and grabs a large stick next to it before placing it down in front of you.
