Chapter 11 by Daylan Daylan

What... Just Happened?

Something Smokin'

What you see is an unexpected sight. Parisa continues to quiver, her eyes staring blankly up at the ceiling as her mouth hangs open. From that open mouth some kind of purple smoke floats out, mixing with the steam of the shower. Panic jolts you fully out of your orgasmic daze as you scramble towards her. Did you burn her?! What internal organs burning makes purple smoke?!

You are so concerned that you barely notice that you are sucking in a good amount of the smoke exiting Parisa's body as you place your hands on her shoulders. The smell is oddly sweet and sends a tingling sensation through your entire spine, but that is not important to you right now. Looking your roommate over does not reveal any obvious injuries and when the smoke stops coming out of her mouth, she blinks rapidly and snaps out of her own daze. "Wha..." she groans.

"Are you okay?!" you all but shriek as you lightly shake Parisa, "I'm so sorry! I don't know how that happened! Does it hurt anywhere?!"

"I..." Parisa starts to say before blinking and sitting up straighter, "Actually, I feel GREAT! Better than I have in a while!"

At your baffled look, Parisa giggles. "Seriously, I'm fine," she says as she gently takes hold of your hands to guide them off her shoulders, "How are you feeling?"

You take a moment to think. It was certainly enjoyable and your body still feels a little tingly now that it is over. "P-Pretty good," you have to admit, "Thank you."

"What are roomies for?" Parisa responds, giving you a quick peck on the lips, "Can't say I'll ALWAYS be up for helping you take the edge off..."

She stands up, stretching hard and letting you ogle her full figure as the shower water continues to pour down on her. Once she is done doing that, she steps out of the shower, the blocking walls rising up again to hide her from anyone's view but yours. "... but maybe every now and then."

She turns and walks out of the room, swaying her hips from side-to-side as she walks to let you admire her ass. When she is gone you turn back towards the water, turn it to the coldest setting possible, and douse any chance of your only just quenched lust instantly returning with the freezing stream. You warm the water up only just enough to effectively get the sweat and... other fluids still on your body cleaned off before finishing up and exiting the stall. Following the private path back into the locker room, you rub yourself down with your towel, summon your clothes to the nearest available locker to get dressed, and then step out into the hall to find someone waiting for you.

Viki gives you a shy smile, her eyes darting about as she is clearly struggling to keep them still and facing you. "Ummm... hi," she says.

Oh right, you DID say you were free, did you not?

"Hey," you answer just as shyly.

The two of you stand there silently for several seconds. Somehow, your first (semi?) sexual encounter has not really boosted your confidence as much as you expected it might. "I... uh..." you both start to simultaneously.

Managing to give Viki a gesture to go first before she can give it to you, Viki squirms for a moment before saying, "I... have a break period and then lunch. How... about you?"

"Same, actually," you reply, brushing back a lock of your hair, "Uhh... technically we're both second years but you're the one who's been here for the first so... uh... know any good places to hang out?"

Viki looks down at her feet, her voice barely a whisper. "I usually... just go to the library. O-Or back to my room."

Taking a quick glance at her pin to remind yourself, you see that hers is in the distinctive draconian-shape that belongs to a Wyvern. "Well, I haven't seen any other Houses than my own yet," you say, glad to have something to conversationally grab onto, "So maybe you could show me around yours?"

Viki's head snaps up to look at you with wide eyes and she swallows nervously before her gaze firmly returns to her own shoes. For a moment, you are curious as to why she might have that reaction until overhear her muttering under her breath, "Sh-she want to come back to my place?! A-Already?!"

You tense up, not having thought what you said could have been interpreted that way. "I-I mean," you fumble, "U-Unless that would be too fast... weird... soon... uh... library would be fine too!"

"NO!" Viki shouts, suddenly lashing out to grab hold of your hand in her incredibly warm one, "W-Wyvern House is fine!"

Before you can catch the mental cat that has caught your tongue, Viki then begins pulling you along. Somehow she manages to not look at you or anything else without bumping into either as you are dragged to the dormitory of your new friend.

From the outside, House Wyvern does not look too different from House Pegasus, with the only real visible difference being the building painted in Wyvern's darker color scheme instead of the pinks and whites of your own. Inside is where the real differences start to reveal themselves, as the darker color scheme continues but it is also supplemented with many dragon-themed elements to the furniture, statues, and the paintings on the wall.

Another thing you notice is that the tables and seating are arranged with the assumption that nobody will ever be sitting alone. That does make sense, as one of the major things you have heard about Wyverns, beyond their specialization in elemental affinity, is that they are driven by a strong sense of loyalty. And if you are loyal to someone, you would be spending a lot of time with them, so having a place to gather easily would be a must.

Personally, you would have assumed Cerberus to be the ones dedicated to loyalty (because DOG) but apparently dragons were absurdly, fanatically loyal to whoever managed to earn their trust.

Viki shows you around some of the sights of the commons area, including a pair of paintings high on the wall over the main fireplace that are the House's founder and then the current member of the staff that is the dorm's House Head. Or at least that was how they SHOULD have been paired, since Pegasus House had one for some Sorceress whose name escapes you at the moment, and another for Professor Dove. However, for Wyvern House there is only a singular painting of a very severe looking woman with glasses and dressed in a pantsuit that you presume is the current House Head and an empty frame where the founders picture should have been.

When you ask Viki about the omission, her response is to squirm and say, "It's apparently a long story... and we're not really supposed to talk about it."

"I see," you reply, deciding not to push for now, "So... you guys are elemental specialists, right? What kind do you have?"

"My dominant is Wind and my minor is Water," Viki answers, fiddling with a few strands of her hair, "At least... in theory it should be."

"In theory?"

Viki looks down at her feet. "You... were there for my score, right?"

Your eyes widen and now it is your turn to look away from embarrassment. "S-Sorry. I didn't mean anything by it."

"It's okay," Viki replies with a sad smile, "I've got... other ways."

"She means she's REALLY good at cantrips and magic circle stuff!"

The unexpected new voice makes you jump and when you whirl towards the source you see a smirking, slender woman with short brown hair standing there. It is the one you saw comforting Viki after her score was read. She is dressed in what looks to be her gym uniform, the shorts showing off her long, lean legs. Her bright blue eyes dart between the two of you as she adds, "Seriously. You would not believe some of the stuff she can whip up with the right materials. I'm pretty sure a lot of seniors couldn't match her."

Viki's cheeks turn pink as she gives the other girl a soft smile, which makes an odd, unexpected twinge of jealousy shoot through you as you look her over. Noticing your stare, the newcomer sticks out her hand towards you. "Name's Amelia. I'm Viki's roommate."

You introduced yourself in turn and shake hands politely but maybe a little more firmly than you initially intended... not that she probably noticed given how casually firm her own grip is. "I was gonna just go for a few laps around the track before lunch," she explains before giving Viki a grin, "but if you want me to help you show the new girl around..."

Viki shakes her head rapidly, grabbing hold of your arm with hers. "N-No! It's fine! I'm fine!"

Amelia raises an eyebrow and looks between the two of you before shrugging. "Weeeeell, then I guess you've got the room to yourself for a while. You can show off some of your neat tricks for your new... friend."

The way Amelia pauses and winks at the two of you before saying "friend" bugs you. Though you are not sure why, as it almost sounds... supportive? Maybe it is because of how easily it gets another, warmer blush out of Viki instead of the more flustered cheek reddening you have managed to pull out of the pale and plump girl so far. Parisa HAD said, "our society's pretty casual about more than just nudity around here," so maybe Viki and her have already gotten... close.

The slender brunette then suddenly leans in to whisper in Viki's ear, though it is still loud enough to be faintly audible to you. "Seriously. You got this, girl," she says before giving you both a friendly wave and walking away.

"S-Sorry about that," Viki says once Amelia is out of earshot, "She can be a little... much but she's a really nice person."

"I'll take your word for it," you reply, again surprising yourself with how cold your voice sounds.

That briefly puts a worried look on Viki's face but she manages to recover as she asks, "D-Do you want to see my room?"

Do You?
