What does Anna decide to do?

Snack-time

"Anna! Picnic's ready!"

"Inna minute," said Anna. She was engrossed in digging a hole in the sand.

"You heard your mother," Daddy insisted. "We made your favorite."

"Okay!"

Anna carefully stepped out of the hole she had dug, pausing briefly to grab the bucket she had filled with shells and sand she had been collecting.

Her sister was already there like a good girl. Mommy's shirt was unbuttoned and one of the cups of her nursing bra was unclipped, as she had curled up in her lap and gorging herself with milk.

Daddy had unpacked everything, being sure to give Anna a wet-wipe. Usually wipes were for changing time, but she had sand all over her and it would ruin snack-time.

It was PB&J with the crusts cut off, her extra-special favorite! On the side was a cup of applesauce and a bottle of milk that mommy had pumped before they had left for their day at the beach.

Anna would have preferred her milk fresh, but she was a big sister now! Her baby sister took priority. Besides, with a bottle she could take it with her when she was playing!
