Diaper and Floaties Not Optional

Anna waddles towards the sea, her legs pushed apart by her diaper and her arms held akimbo by her floaties. A girl of her little age, not-quite 28 years, was considered far too young to be trusted without both forms of protection. She’d only just learned to walk at 25, of course, and proper swimming lessons were still some years away, not to mention potty training after that.

The little 27-year-old toddled across the sand while her parents followed close behind, her mother holding Anna’s vacant-eyed 20-year-old baby sister and her father keeping an eye on Anna. They’d needed the vacation, and the beach seemed perfect with plenty of diversions for little tykes like Anna. They saw little 20- and 30-somethings playing in the water, building sand castles, and one 25-year-old boy nearby seemed to be eating the sand while his mother tried to stop him. All together a typical lovely beach day!
