Slug (Large)

Field Name: Adult Slug

Appearance: These slugs look like the smaller version of themselves except if they were larger then humans. They can be any color except yellow, for some unknown reason. They range from the size of humans to four times the size of humans. The bottom of the creatures has a bunch small 3 inch tentacles that help propels itself forward. Though it is slow it can actually be a lot faster then you'd expect, especially when there are multiple. It has none senses, it relies purely on the tower to tell it what to do. The slug secretes a mucus, unlike the weaker slime from the small slug, this mucus is a lot thicker and warmer. Eventually, the Slug will hit full size, and become yellow, and enter what's known as a "King" state, which has significantly longer tentacles, going up to five feet.

Abilities: Although these are slugs, they can use the tentacles beneath them to propel themselves to dizzying speeds at time, and can completely catch their victims off guard. They also use their tentacles to tear women's clothing to shreds, which is made even easier by the mucus they secrete which helps deteriorate any non organic material. The mucus can be found in abundance in the lower floors of the tower, and in large ponds of the stuff, and can deteriorate things such as pants and underwear if you wade through it, and even more durable stuff such as firearms if it's kept in the mucus long enough. The Towerlings use these pools as a sort of "Trash can" to dispose of any left over clothes or firearms they don't need from broodmothers, or any other non organic material they need to dispose off. The mucus can also "Heal" any of the Tower's Biomass, and keeps the structural integrity of the building extremely strong as the building shifts and grows.

Kings however can lift themselves up with their larger tentacles, and restrain people with them. A king's mucus is very golden and noticeable. Skin exposure will cause gradual infection and spending a few seconds in it will cause light infection. Spending more then an hour in it will cause complete infection.

Spawn: Slugs are quite large, so for mating their strategy is often to just cover their victims with their mass and begin to impregnate them after tearing through their clothes. First, the Adult Slug uses one dick it has which serves as an ovipositor, to fill the victim with eggs. Then they use a second dick to inseminate them. This combination of eggs and semen is actually quite dangerous, as it causes medium to complete infection in it's victim in a week as the eggs grow inside the victim and secrete mucus. The number of eggs usually is between 12 and 30, and the number determine the level of infection the victim's receive. But a second impregnation will cause complete infection, and that's unavoidable.

Behavior: The Adult Slugs are a bit like a maintenance and defense unit for the Tower. They aren't sent out far beyond the Tower's zone of control, but they can be found on the outlying areas. The Slugs themselves also seemingly have no senses except for touch, and they follow the Tower's orders and anyone who gives these orders very closely and to the letter, as they have no real intellectual ability of their own. They are one of the most mindless species the Tower has, in this respect.

Now, any women they come across in their "Maintenance and Defense" that's uninfected, they will target and try to breed. But oddly enough, they leave anyone infected, even if unclaimed alone. So anyone infected can get past them easily.

Once they've entered their "King" state though, they become much more aggressive and start to behave on their own and think for themselves, and go out beyond the tower's boundaries to claim women and drag them back to the tower, but they aren't too dangerous as they go out on their own without assistance. We believe this is because they've outgrown their ability to do maintenance on the tower, and instead go out to try and find more women so they can spread the tower more.
