Shop til you drop

In a single moment, everyone at the prom ceased moving, having been frozen in place. Everyone that is except for Mark.

“Katie start”, Mark said.

Katie blinked a couple of times, having been released from the time freeze. “Look at this”, Katie said as she spread her arms. “Look at this”, she repeated.

“Someone’s excited”, Mark said in a sarcastic tone.

“Hell yeah I am. So are we gonna go doll shopping or what.”

“That’s the thing”, Mark said. “When I said I wanted to shop around for dolls, I wanted to get someone you can keep.”

Katie’s eyes widened. “Are you saying I get to pick someone, and…then I get to keep them?”

“Yes I am. Happy 6 month anniversary. Is anniversary the right word?” Before he could continue, Katie came up to him and gave a large kiss on the lips, shutting him up.

Katie broke away from the kiss and tapped Mark on the nose, “it’s perfect.”

“Is there anyone in particular you want?”

“Oh I can think of a few”, Katie said as she turned towards the gaggle of girls that had just left them not long ago.

“Should I guess?”

“We can make it a game”, Katie said as they walked the frozen students. I spy with my little eye a bitch who was mean to me just now.”

“Well that eliminates Ms. Osaka, and I don’t think Molly Cruz pandering for votes counts as being mean.”

“Correct on both. I spy with my little eye a bitch with lighter hair.”

“That eliminates Tracey, and leaves only Sadie Prescott and Abby Greene.”

“Ding, ding, ding, we have a winner”, Katie announced to the room; no one noticed. A worried look came on her face. “The thing is, I can’t decide between those two.”

“Well let’s grab them and bring them where they can be better inspected.”

Katie smiled. “You’re getting wiser everyday.”

“What’s that supposed to mean”, Mark said sarcastically.

“Nothing.”

Mark rolled his eyes and headed to where Abby was standing, and picked her up over his shoulder, with Katie doing the same to Sadie. The couple acting as one, without saying a word agreed to bring the two to women’s restroom to look over their choices. What did surprise Katie was when mark left and returned with a frozen Tracy Reynolds.

“Why did you bring her?”

“Well, I was thinking.”

“Don’t hurt yourself”, Katie said in a playful teasing manner, Mark stuck his tongue out in response.

“Anyway, I was thinking. I have three dolls at home, why don’t I get you three? And Tracey here just missed the cutoff so….” Katie kissed her boyfriend, interrupting him once more; Mark did not mind at all.

Breaking away from the kiss, Katie’s dark eyes looked at the three frozen girls standing before her. Could could have all three of them, Sadie, Tracey and Abby. She was imagining all three girls frozen, naked in her room, imagined her ‘playing’ with them. It was then that she realized, she did not need to imagine them naked, when she could actually see them naked.

“Before I decide whether to do that or not”, Katie said trying to sound serious, but failing. “Help me get them naked, then we’ll see about it.”

Mark smiled, “sounds good to me.” He knew what Katie wanted.
