Time Freeze

Time Freeze

A boy discovers the ability to stop time

Chapter 1

Mark silently cursed his sister under his breath as he walked home from school on a Friday afternoon. Mark is 18 years old, 5'11, and had a lean build. He wasn't considered particularly ugly or attractive by the girls at school, just a bit above average. It was the middle of December and it was this time of year that made Mark regret being too lazy to get his drivers license so he didn't have to walk home. Mark's 21 year old sister, Ashley, had just come home from college for winter break. Mark's winter break didn't start for another week.

Ashley was generally regarded as a bombshell by pretty much every guy that saw her. She was 5'6", had ginger red hair coupled with pale skin and freckles, perky 34C tits, and a tight, juicy ass that mesmerized any guy that walked behind her. If it wasn't for the fact that she was a complete bitch to her younger brother (and his sister), she would have been Mark's dream girl.

Mark had asked her if she could come pick him up from school, but she just laughed and told him to walk. It had been fine, if slightly cloudy, this morning when he walked to school but by the time the day was over a massive blizzard had blown into town.

Trudging through the 3 and a half miles of snow and the biting cold wind, Mark made his way home. Every step he took only made him increasingly more angry at the bullshit weather and even more so at his bitch of a sister. He wanted nothing more than to get back at his sister but he didn't know how.

After walking for a while he finally reached his neighborhood. Mark crossed the street his house was on but was too distracted thinking about his sister that he didn't see the oncoming truck heading right for him. The driver blasted his horn, which jolted Mark from his musings but it was too late for him to jump out of the way. The last thing Mark did was crouch down and braced himself to be hit by covering his head and neck with his arms. He cringed and closed his eyes as he knew he was about to die and felt a short, sharp pain in his temples...

The first thing that struck Mark was how deathly quiet it had become. His immediate thought was that he must be dead. The second thing Mark noticed was the temperature. Just moments prior he had been freezing his ass off in the snow, but now it was pleasantly warm. He thought to himself that if this was what heaven was like, might not be so bad. Mark slowly cracked open an eye and he saw his soaked shoes, and the snow and salt covered pavement. Confused, Mark slowly lifted his head and saw that he was in the exact same spot he had been in right before the truck was supposed to hit him. Turning his head to the right he almost fell on his ass when he saw the truck less than half a foot from his face. Mark was relieved that he wasn't dead but he was incredibly confused now. Standing up, Mark looked around and what he saw only confused him even more. What had previously been falling snow was now at a complete standstill, just floating in the air.

This lead Mark to the conclusion that somehow time was stopped and it seemed that sound, temperature, and somewhat gravity didn't apply. Mark was beyond freaked out at this point. He wasn't sure how time stopped or even how to start it again. Not knowing what to do, Mark decided to just keep walking to his house on the other side of the street.
