Shoot the one Cameron's fighting!

You take a moment to do some maths in your head. It's hard, because it's all much more complicated than what you're used to, but you feel like the moment justifies it a bit.

Two monsters..... one bullet....... one monster has one arm and is recovering, the other monster has two arms and is in the middle of a fight........

Aha! That means the second monster's a bigger threat, so that's where you should put your bullet! Yeah, for sure. You take a moment to double check anyway, but you were right. So! You raise up your arm holding the pepperbox pistol, and look down its top chamber-barrel towards the monster engaged with Cameron.

All you've got to do now is wait for an opening to shoot it, but.... oh no! You forgot to factor in monster recovery time! The one-armed monster shakes its head loose of fog, much quicker than you honestly could've reasonable been expected to predict, and lunges towards you. Argh!

You're still dedicated to your initial decision, and with only about half a second until the injured monster reaches you, you don't have time to point your gun at it instead. You try to locate an opening in the other monster to shoot, but.... you're not fast enough! You squeeze the trigger with that same loud BANG, just as the other monster's single scythe-arm swipes down and lands onto your arm, knocking it off course so that the bullet explodes harmlessly in the grass.

{if Armour == 3}Your chainmail takes the full **** of the hit, so you're still doing peachy, but you didn't get to hit Cameron's monster!{else}Surprisingly, the scythe isn't as sharp as you'd expect it to be from how it looks -- it's not sharp at all, actually, which might just be a feature of being a simulated monster. Still, you didn't get a chance to shoot at Cameron's monster!{endif}

You turn your focus to that monster now, raising your shield-arm defensively as it prepares for another attack towards you, and feeling very bummed about it stopping you from helping out {if@ Cameron's Impression >50}your friend{else}Cameron{endif}. So, you're going to show it who's boss now, after you deflect its attack with your shield!

"Stupid one-armed guy!" You taunt. But it was a bit mean in a moment of frustration, so hopefully it didn't take it to heart.

It swings its one remaining scythe arm down, and you catch it with your shield. Your plan is to sidestep and push the arm back, {if@ StaffCombat == True}a bit like a staff combat technique you learned last week{else}like you've seen on Warrior posters around your room at home{endif}, but the monster lands with a lot more **** than you expected it to with just the one arm.
