Yeah, you're beefed enough for this! Just as planned, you swing your body around to the side around the point of impact with your shield at the same time as you push out with it. The monster's arm is knocked to the side and the monster itself is put off balance, leaving it open for a quick backhand across its head with your shield to follow up.

That stuns the monster for enough time that you're able to jump back properly and reload two impact bullets into your pepperbox pistol from your pocket of loose ammunition. As you're loading them in, a crossbow bolt whizzes past your face as Jace shoots over at the uninjured one that Cameron's fighting, catching it in its flank. With the simulated monster stumbling for a second, and taken out of the zone, Cameron's able to finish it off with a quick series of bladed-shield punches to its torso after knocking it down to the ground, the crossbow bolt in its flank stopping it from being able to get up.

Well, that looks good enough to you! With your monster almost recovered, and two shots loaded into your pistol, you lift your arm and fire off both of the impact bullets for the finish!

The first lands on the front of the simulated monster's neck, not piercing it since it's an impact bullet but probably being not nice to deal with. The monster opens its mouth to roar its HR complaint, and so you're able to fire the second one right into its mouth.

The roar dies in its throat, and with that, the simulated monster slumps forward onto the ground defeated. You and Cameron exchange excited looks.

"WOO-HOO!!" You shout, throwing your arms up and clicking the trigger to fire some celebratory shots into the air that don't come out because your gun is empty at the moment.

You just beat your first ever monster, and you did it all on your own! That's some really impressive stuff, hey? You're feeling very chuffed as you look over at the body, excitement rippling through you. You're really going to be a great Warrior after all, then!

But you have to get your head back in the game quickly. The battle's not over yet, there's one more monster to take care of! You look over to where Delilah's engaged with in on the bridge as you load up a shot into each of the five chamber-barrels in your pepperbox pistol.

It looks at the moment like neither side has landed a proper hit yet. Any scythe or sickle strike that isn't blocked by a countering scythe or sickle either harmlessly scratches the outside of the monster's chitin or gets dodged out of the way by Delilah, who's really pulling some intense looking gymnastic moves to keep out of harm's way. It really looks like the battle could go either way, given that it seems to be up to whoever lands a proper hit first. Maybe you should try to help her out, since you and Cameron are all done over here now?
