Shirts vs. Skins

Coach O'Shea gave one of those 'lets get started' claps. "Okay, everyone! We're gonna play basketball! Shirts versus skins. Unfortunately, we have thirteen students and only ten can play. Divide into shirts and skins. Of the three left, decide between yourselves who sits out as a substitution and who acts as neutral referee and scorekeeper. Whoever wins gets a prize, losers get a penalty!"

Madison raised her hand.

"What up, Madison?" Nate could almost see the sparkle in Coach O'Shea's teeth as he smiled at her.

"Sir, we have an imbalance of boys and girls. What happens if a girl is on the skins team?" Madison asked, genuine concern on her face.

Coach O'Shea gave a good-natured chuckle. "Glad you asked! Well, normally, that's not much of a problem when we have five boys who can fill all the players on the Skins Team. But I actually just got word from the principal this morning that as part of new gender equality regulation, any girls who want to be on the Skins Team can go ahead, so long as they don't mind going topfree with the boys."

The others murmured among each other about that, either shocked or hoping to see boobs. Madison remained focused. "What? But that can't be right... Why would Coach Markowski allow this?"

Coach O'Shea had to bring his hand to his lips to hold back his snort. The reason was revealed when Coach Markowski herself waved from next to him. "It was my suggestion in the first place. It's 2021, Madison. Why are we still getting pissy about some shirtless girls when boys can go topfree just fine? Get with the current times, honey pie."

Madison was left a bit speechless, but... While not in line with her morals, it was all following rules, however recently-instated those rules were, so Madison just didn't say anything and gazed down at the gymnasium floor with clear discomfort.

Nate raised his hand. "I volunteer for skins!" He was already formulating a plan to wind up naked in P.E., and choosing skins removed a step.

But who else was going to be on the Skins Team with him?
