Shepard is speechless

Shepard gasped as she stared at the opened ring box which held a beautiful silver ring with a ruby crystal that shined in the light with a blue crystal surrounding that wasn’t from Earth. “The crystal is from Thessia,” Liara said. “It… it was my father’s. She had planned to propose to Benezia but then never did when they decided to part ways. I want you to have this. Only you. I love you so much. And I don’t want you to ever be in doubt of that.”

“Liara…” Shepard said trying to find the words as tears formed in her eyes. “I… I love you…”

Shepard wrapped her arms around Liara and they both met each other half way with a kiss. “Shepard…” Liara cried. “I need you… it’s been so long…”
