Stay, or go?
Shelter in Place
With the limited brain capacity you have, the concept of foraging for a host is quite daunting, and what an ignoble demise would it be to be devoured by a local predator. Thus, you stay in the cooling, slowly solidifying slime of your meteorite, waiting for someone to arrive.
Two examples of the planets time cycle pass before you feel rustling getting closer to your location. For a moment, fear clouds your senses and you freeze, just as a bipedal mammal spots the rock. Seeing you, it scoops your body up and looks at it interestedly, considering you with a set of bright green eyes. Suddenly, as she's just about to set you back down, bored of your frozen form, someone yells at her, and she turns her head to the side to hear it better. Now is your chance!
