Fortune favors the Bold

Shaking off your fear, you undulate your body, shooting through the air and landing next to her ear. You thrust your head inside, and rapidly begin burrowing deeper as the bipedal mammal gasps. It takes less than thirty seconds to have just the tip of your tail wriggling out of her ear, the rest of you rapidly settling inside her braincase. As a small trail of blood trickles from her ear, you pull yourself completely inside the....humans head, connecting to exposed synapses at a cellular level.

As you begin to meld with your host's mind, your intelligence explodes. Rapidly taking control from the human, your new body lets out an uncharacteristic grunt as you try to move and speak for the first time as a female human. Your hands haltingly reach up to grab your head as this body's memories become your own, and you quiver as sensations wash over you like a tidal wave. Realizing that your hosts mind is superior in capacity to yours, you decide that for the time being, you'll simply drive this host around, before you do any more to it.

Filtering through the thoughts and memories contained in this body's grey matter, you find that your human host is Kylie Sorensen, the youngest daughter of three, and that you just graduated from high school a month ago. You were out on a hike with some friends before you slithered inside her...your body, and now you're better.

As the slime from your slug-form oozes though Kylie's braincase, it works into the folds of the grey matter within, and more and more control is relayed back to you, even beyond what Kylie could conciously do. Setting aside this knowledge, you focus on maintaining appearances when another human enters the clearing where you stand.

"Kylie, are you alright? I called for you and you didn't say anything!" Sarah looks exasperated at your lack of response, so you school your features into one of embarrassment.

"Sorry Sarah, it's just that I found this meteor!" You lie easily, as you rapidly become accustomed to speaking in Kylie's peppy voice. " I guess I just didn't hear you."

"It's alright, I just wondered what happened. Anything cool inside?" The athletic blonde comes over, and you recognize her as your long time friend. She's got an inch or two on you in height, and overall she has more curves, which usually lead to unfair comparisons in high school. Distracted by the memories and feelings, you realize that you can't keep up the ruse of being Kylie, so you rummage down her synapses and snip away any mention of yourself, before letting Kylie back into the driver's seat so to speak.

That night, having returned home still inside Kylie, you reassert control over her, intent on making some changes. You could easily make Kylie a more permanent home for your sluggy body, or maybe find another person to inhabit - after making sure that your current host is loyal to you even without you present. Or you could take the boring route, and simply reside in Kylie as she lives out her life.
