She stays afterward to help clean up

Jenna's performance anxiety over being in front of so many people at once faded to the quiet exhaustion of another finished social event. As the friends and family of the band members trickled out of the auditorium and most of the rest of her classmates went home, she started the long process of moving the chairs and stands from the auditorium back into the band room.

Their band director expected the students to do it after the concert, but she was one of the only ones who usually stayed behind to actually do so; since the band director had already gone home, most of the other people left too. A few others stayed after with her, not quite her friends but with the shared bond of an overly responsible night crew that stayed back after every concert. With an entire band class moving things it was quick and easy work, but with only one slender flute player and a handful of others it took significantly longer.

She stacked chairs two at a time to carry them back into the band room where they belonged while other people grabbed music stands. Jenna put the chairs onto a large chair rack in one of the practice rooms; the rack technically had wheels, but when it was fully loaded she could never manage to move it on her own, so it was easier just to carry them.

Slowly but surely, the remaining band geeks cleaned up the auditorium and finished up most of the work. Jenna realized that even the 'night crew' had mostly gone home by the time she finished.
