"I vote sleeping," Valkyria replied, already feeling the latent exhaustion from both her previous exertions threatening to overwhelm her right then and there.

Jake smiled, "wise choice, pup. We'll need all the energy we can get for our next training session."

Valkyria nodded, standing and striding into the musty farmhouse. She settled into the bed, the only piece of new furniture in the whole place, feeling both physically and mentally drained.

As she closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep, she couldn't help but wonder if she was making the right choice. Training to kill the man she was bound by oath to was not a task she had ever thought she would undertake, but she knew it was necessary.

She couldn't bear the thought of what might happen if Fenrir were ever released and Jake lost control. It was her duty to protect the world from that kind of destruction, even if it meant sacrificing her own happiness.

Jake watched her sleep for a few moments, admiring the rise and fall of her chest, the way her eyelashes brushed against her cheeks.

He felt a twinge of guilt for what he was asking of her, but he knew it was the only way. He was already beginning to feel the stirrings of Fenrir inside him, the urge to run wild and destroy everything in his path. He couldn't let that happen, no matter how much he might want to.

With a sigh, he settled in next to her, wrapping his arms around her and holding her close. He knew it wouldn't be easy, but he was determined to help her become strong enough to face him when the time came. Together, they would do whatever it took to thwart his father one final time.
