Chapter 4

What happens next?

She loses her jeans

Rose's foot plunged into something which immediately felt unnatural. A caustic goo, which immediately began eating away at her trainer.

"Shit!" Rose pulled her leg out of the hole, and shook her leg to kick the remains of the trainer off her foot. Unfortunately some of the goo had latched onto her jeans, and began eating them from the leg up. "Fuck, fuck, fuck," Rose said. She rapidly unbuckled her belt and unbuttoned her jeans. She kicked off the other trainer, which instantly fell into the goo. She shimmied her jeans down and off then ran away, clambering out of the trench.

Rose stood trouserless, her plain pale blue hipster knickers on full view. She pulled her shirt and jacket down to obscure her lower half, then pressed on. She could see the hill in the distance, but she had some way to go.
