"Well, yeah. I think I kinda do." Mitsuki reached into her bag, and pulled the two red boots out of it.

"That's them!" Kumiko was relieved at the sight of her missing footwear. "Where'd you find them?"

"You'd never believe this, but there is this girl at school, Kishi Kumiko or something, whose backpack was left open. I was a little curious, so I took a quick peek. Inside, there was a complete Magical Girl Kumiko costume. I thought it was a impressive replica, so I swiped the boots. But now you're telling me it was the real thing? Why does she have your uniform?"

"Now, eh... You see..." She knew she had to make a believable excuse, or it was all over. "I'd been fighting crime all night, you see. And the school offered me to take a shower here, since I helped them in the past. But Kumiko stole my clothes as I showered. I managed to get the hat, cape, gloves and wand back, but the rest was gone!"

"What, she really did that?" Kumiko couldn't quite hear in Mitsuki's voice whether or not she really bought it or not. "That... psycho! How could she do that to you? I only stole your hat and boots, but I'd would've left you with something."

"Thanks?" She wasn't sure how to take her fan's words.

"You know, I never liked her anyway. She's sóóó obvious with her crush on Kuroki Ken, and after six years she never took any action? The girl's spineless, so I guess she's lucky to have those tiny mosquito bites she calls breasts or her back would've given in."

"Oh really?" Kumiko gritted her teeth, repressing the urge to use her Super Special Magical Girl Kumiko Heart Energy Beam Attack point blank in Mitsuki's face. "Be that as it may, I really need those back."

"I don't know," spoke Mitsuki in doubt, "now I have your boots and the Moth Queen's. That is a really nice collection. Maybe for your gloves?"

"Out of the question. I need those just as much as the hat and boots." Kumiko sighed, thinking of what she could offer her fan, and recoiled as she realized there was one more item she wore that she could trade.
