Chapter 4 by CaptainKitty CaptainKitty

What should she do?

She goes to investigate but gets side-lined

Caitlin padded out, dressing gown pulled around her exaggerated physique, and saw a middle aged blonde woman in a business suit looking harried, clearly this was her mum in this new reality she'd found herself in. "Och, Caitlin, will you hurry up in the mornings? We'll do gifts later, you get dressed and get on your way." It was if she'd always known she went to the nearby St McAngus High School, and her mother worked as an accountant.

But after exchanging the perfunctory teenage exchange with her mother before she departed for school, Caitlin decided she wasn't going to go sit through a day of lessons, she was going to get to the bottom of this. It felt so familiar yet so profoundly unnatural as she stuffed her mammoth mammaries into her bra, pulled a tight green t-shirt over it, and slid her ass and hips into some form-fitting blue jeans. Man, Caitlin didn't even know what city she was in. Fortunately, Google Maps triumphed and she found the nearest hall of public records. Caitlin figured the first thing to find out was what had happened to the people he knew, and what this new world looked like.

The library was only about half an hours' walk, but even with that, Caitlin decided to stop halfway at a small pub that was already open to do breakfasts. It had been a little startling to wake up as a girl, even if she still felt like she'd somehow always been one? It was a confusing emotion, and she figured a beer would help. And hey, if she was in Scotland now, she could drink at 18! Suck it, Americans. At least that was one perk of the change. Well. If Steve hadn't been old enough to drink anyway, of course.

The pub was a basic affair, red carpet and cheap fittings. A couple of old men sat with pints and cooked breakfasts, a tired looking barman wiped a few glasses. She went to order a beer, like she normally would, and stopped. "Can I get a gin and tonic?" she asked, her Scottish brogue odd to hear. Paying for the drink and ordering it, she went to a table and sipped from it as she perused the food menu.

The gin tasted great, she wasn't just sipping, she was chugging it down. After all, a known side effect of the Teen Tea Infuser was that like all fun co-eds, when you got a drink in a co-ed she drank. It felt so right, so natural, just how the world worked, but despite that, Caitlin still caught herself thinking, Wait, would Steve want to act like a drunk party girl?

Could she resist the urge?
