As I drive into downtown, I run through the other things that need to happen today.

Lewis and Tonya are driving back from their weekend visit to their dad’s house. I’m supposed to meet Lewis at his apartment to catch up. Later, Tonya is supposed to do a private stream with me as a reward for my help getting her new channel started. Who knows where that conversation is going to go. Then, if I have time, I can focus on how to make enough money to land on my feet if Victoria fires me.

I find a decent parking space at my destination. An old man with a clipboard meets me outside of the unmarked storage building. He checks that everything is accounted for, all the champagne bottles and the large crate containing something large for the charity auction. He directs an assistant to help me get everything into the building.

As soon as he is satisfied, I bolt, glad that there isn’t another snag. It’s still early enough in the day that I have time to spare...
