Scolding

I feel my consciousness slowly come to. My head starts pounding, though it's much better than when I first woke up in Prismas water. I can hear someone talking but I can't make out what they're saying. I feel someone pressing a bottle or something similar against my lips. They pour something slimy into my mouth. I can't taste whatever it is but I swallow it down. As I do, the numbness in my body starts to fade away. I try to open my eyes and get blinded by a light. I feel someone jump on me and hug me. I feel pain shoot through my chest and slowly open my eyes. I see Luna on top of me. She has her head buried in my chest. I raise my hand and start petting her.

"Alpha!" She shouts before pulling my head into another hug.

"Hey Luna." I say, wrapping one arm around her. My voice is strained and much quieter than normal. She holds me for a while before letting me go. I lay back down in the bed and look around. "Where are the others?" I ask and she smiles.

"They're busy. Asami and Innu are out telling the Guilds what happened. They're leaving out the fact that you lost your heart for now. They're telling them you just got injured. Bergeth is down by the lake. He and Lakey have been doing nothing but training for a few hours now. Eimbis and Barrai are outside, they've been waiting for you to wake up. Ramia's making some kind of regenerative potion with Gaia and Verona. They're using Gaia's blood so it should be strong. Verona's adding her's too so it'll help your Mana Circuits. Verona said yours got damaged." She says and I sigh. She lays down next to me and wraps her arms around me. "I was really scared Y'know."

"Sorry for worrying you." I say while petting her.

"Your apology isn't accepted. You owe me several sparring matches to make up for it. At least nine! With no magic either!" She replies and I start laughing. I immediately start coughing and Luna sits me up. She hands me a cup of water and I drink it all.

"Thanks." I say and she smiles.

"I need to go tell the others your awake Alpha." Luna says while getting out of bed. She walks out of the room and I slowly sit up. I look down and see I'm not wearing a shirt. Where my heart is, is a large scar. It looks like my skin was fused together or like it got stretched. The door to the room opens and Gaia, Verona, Ramaia, and Luna enter.

"How are you feeling?" Gaia asks, rushing over to me.

"I've been better. But I'll live." I reply.

"That was way too reckless Eric." Verona says and I nod.

"I know. That was the only plan I could think of though." I reply causing her to sigh.

"Are you sure you're fine? Nothing's broken or in pain?" Gaia asks.

"I mean, my body does still hurt. But nothings broken, at least I don't think." I say and she sighs with relief.

"H-here Eric. This'll h-help." Ramia says while handing me a glass cup. Inside is a murky dark green liquid. It sparkles, literally, with small bright lights appearing and disappearing inside.

"What is it?" I ask while taking it.

"It's a p-potion Gaia and Verona helped m-me with. It'll help you f-feel better and recover your Circuits." Ramia answers while I drink it. I don't know how it tasted since my tongue's too numb to taste anything.

"My Circuits?" I ask and she nods.

"When you got your heart ripped out, your Mana Circuits were damaged. Our hearts are the core of the Circuits after all. They're where we store the majority of our mana. So they need to be repaired. Fortunately for you, you can repair your Circuits naturally. So the potion just sped it up." Verona answers and I nod. "So Eric, no offense or anything, but how are you still alive? I know you got your heart ripped out." Verona asks and I tilt my head a little in thought.

"It's because of my powers. Do you remember how I can see a person's MP and HP? Well, if a person still has HP, my powers will forceable keep them alive. So I used Devour to recover some HP after Kurdes's attack." I reply and she looks at me shocked.

"How did you know that would work? Did you figure it out before or did you just gamble your life on a theory?" Verona asks and I sigh.

"No, someone told me about it. But don't ask who yet. It'll be easier and faster for Asami to share my memories with you." I say and Verona nods, clearly wanting to ask but willing to wait.

"Eric, how did you recreate your heart? Even my healing magic can't recreate organs." Gaia asks me.

"I used Healing Hands. But I think being a Myt-, I mean my race, is what did it. Since the mana in the air helps me, I assume it helped to recreate it. But my race is also made of mana like Gods are. So maybe that's it. Have you ever healed a God before?" I ask and Gaia shakes her head no.

"That would make sense. Gods are made of mana, so we could probably recover our organs with magic." Verona says, more to herself than to the rest of us.

"So how long have I been out?" I ask them.

"It's b-been a day. It's nearly 6 PM now." Ramia answers and I nod. I'm shocked it's only been a day. Just then the door opens and Asami walks in followed by Innu.
