Chapter 3 by Warden-Yarn15 Warden-Yarn15

Which aisle did Elizabeth find herself in?

Sci-Fi

A sign was held by ropes that seem to had been attached to the foreseeable ceiling spelled the category it contained: Sci-Fi.

Sci-Fi? What could it possibly mean? Then I thought of something, that it may be an abbreviation for science fiction and as silly as I was to not realize it sooner, curiosity once again grabbed hold of my attention and I walked forward into the aisle. Hundreds of books were showcased and displayed with their names being etched into their spines. As different as they may be, they all seemed intimidating no matter just how thick they were.

I stopped suddenly but did not hear the creaking of wooden floors, rather I heard the cold thud of metal and as I looked down on the floor it was obvious that the material changed while I was distracted with all the books. Gazing back to where I came from, an abyss similar to the one I've been chasing had formed behind me with a metal tongue instead that of timber.

Feeling that I was **** to grab a book and read, I did so almost immediately. Turning to either of my sides, a finger of mine had reached behind what the headband had to offer before tipping the entire book and opened it.

Which book did Elizabeth picked up?
