Sarah Vos Grenig

The secret to going unnoticed in a palace of any sort, Sav'era had long since realised, was looking like you knew what you were doing and were exactly where you had to be. Dressed as a female servant, Sav'era went out into the palace to have her first look at the world of humans in hundreds of years. Wearing a black and white lacy dress, Sav'era looked like just another of the hundreds of staffed with thronged the corridors of the palace daily. No one paid her any mind at all, and she slipped from room to room like a ghost.

The emotions and the desires of the humans around her formed a teeming sea of energy and wants which Sav'era felt washing over her mind. She hadn't felt like this in a very long time, and was glad of her chance to bask in the humanity one more time. Succubus like her fed off emotional energy. Mostly sexual, but any energy could do in a pinch. She could feed off humans or demons, but demons were always harder. The power they produced was tasteless and bland. It kept her alive but did not do anything more. There was a reason that of all the demonic sub-types, succubus had once been the ones most commonly meddling with human affairs. Humans simply tasted the best, and once you knew that it was almost addictive.

After having been cut off for hundreds of years, being surrounded by humans again was a real rush, and Sav 'era was enjoying every minute of it. Their desires bombarded her, their ambitions and their wants. One woman who walked passed was looking forward to later tonight when she could meet with her lover. A fellow servant was twitching slightly because she'd concealed a sex toy under her dress and was awash with pleasure. Two men were arranging a private duel to the **** for the hand of some lord they both fancied.

Sav'era bathed in these moments, these thoughts and feelings which sleeted past like rain or snow. She felt like a fish which had been cut off during the summer in some small pond finally allowed to return to the sea.

But she was always careful. Just as there were servants, there were guardians. Soldiers patrolled the halls, and the worst of these were the paladins. They wore bronze armour with proud silver writing picked out across their chests and arms. Each one of them had an aura of strength and pride which stood out among all of the other humans. Sav'era quite naturally detested them, for they had slain many of her fellows and would also not be fooled by her basic spells and illusions. She was a soldier, and she had fought in wars but Sav'era knew that she was no match for even a weak paladin. If she was uncovered by one of them she would die and that was simply how it would go.

Luckily, these paladins were all far too young to have ever actually met a demon. Humans didn't live to a hundred, much less more than this. Sav'era was safe so long as she didn't give herself way with an obvious gesture that even they would not miss.

And the leader of the paladins was Susan's sister. Sarah Vos Grenig. Once she knew that she was in the area, Sav'era rotated towards her, looking busy, she strode past the high ranking paladin as she was giving orders. Sarah was clad in the same bronze armour as the others, but her helmet was held under one arm and her face was visible.

Sarah's face was reminiscent of Susan's, with pale skin dusted with brown freckles and fiery red hair which was bound short so as to fit inside of her helmet. However, her jaw was stronger, her features less fine. She had a sturdier look to her, and didn't seem nearly as fragile. Her face shone with confidence and with charisma, as Sav'era had come to expect from high ranking paladins.

Sav'era could not sense Sarah's desires. To attempt to do so would allow the paladin potentially to realise she was here. But she was intrigued, and decided she would continue to keep an eye on her for as long as she was here.
