Sako's speech

Sako was given the microphone and she slowly approached it, she didn't know what to say or how to act, she was completely lost, she looked at the crowd, all the eyes were on her, the silence was complete and Sako could feel the heat of embarrassment radiating from her body. She took a deep breath and tried to compose herself, knowing that she had to speak to the crowd.

"Um... hello everyone," she stammered, her voice shaking with nerves. "I... I hope you all enjoyed the Festival of Life."

She paused, trying to think of what to say next. Her mind was blank, and she couldn't think of anything else to say.

"I... I..." she stuttered, her face flushed with embarrassment, she was examining the crowd, everyone was looking at her expectantly, she gulped and tried to continue.

"I..." she stopped and took a deep breath, she focused in the beating of her heart, she could feel it pounding in her chest, slowly she started to calm down, everyone in front her had already seen her naked and wetting herself, what was more to lose? How could she be more humiliated? Nothing, there was nothing to hide, nothing to hold back, she was free, completely free!

Finally she opened her eyes and said with newfound confidence "I want to thank all of you for coming! Yuka and kasumi led sako to the main square where the villagers were gathered, they were waiting for sako, they had prepared a lot of gifts for her, sako was surprised by all of it, she was overwhelmed by all the attention, she felt very special, she was moved to tears, she was feeling loved, the gifts went from boxes of produce cultivated by the villagers to beautiful pottery and jewelry, there was also a gift from the tourists, it was a box of chocolates.

Sako was very grateful for all the gifts, she couldn't hold them all in her arms so severseveral villagers helped her carry it all to her grandpa's house.

"thank you, thank you so much, I don't know what to say" said sako as she tried to hold back her tears.

"you don't have to say anything, you've been a great festival maiden, we're proud of you" said kasumi.

"thank you, thank you so much" said sako as she hugged kasumi.

"we're glad you liked it, now go get some rest, tomorrow we'll help you take all the stuff to the city" said Yuka.

Sako nodded and thanked the two old women once again before getting inside home.

When she got home she found her grandpa waiting for her.

"grandpa! I thought you were outside with the rest of the village, you'll miss the dance"

"no, I wanted to be here to greet you, how are you feeling?"

"I... I feel happy! I mean it was very embarrassing but I felt-"

Free" said both in unison as her grandpa predicted her next word.

"yes, exactly, I felt free, I felt liberated, I felt... Like myself, I kinda feel like, I would like to do it again haha"

"I'm glad to hear that" said sako's grandpa getting up to hug her, he hugged her and said "I'm sorry if it was too much for you at the beginning but I wanted you to hahave the opportunity to feel free, I know your mom can be very strict sometimes"

"I did your bed already, it's time for you to go to sleep

Sako went to her room, she put the yukata away and laid naked on her futon then she slept peacefully till the next day she suddenly woke up hurried "mom is picking up today!"

Sako hurried to take a bath and put on a yukata, then she began to pack up her things, when she finished packing up she went to the kitchen to eat something, her grandpa was already there.

"good morning, I hope you slept well"

"morning" said sako eating as fast as she could she had not finished yet when she heard the honk of her mom's car outside

"she's here!" she said and hurried to go outside she didn't wantto make her mother grow impatient

Sako's mom had a Stern look on her face as she waited for sako to come out of the house.

"mom! I'm sorry, I overslept" said sako as she ran to the car.

"you had a week to sleep and be ready, why do you alway-" started saying when suddenly she heard the voice of sako's grandpa her father.

"don't be so hard on sako, we were having breakfast" he said, sako's mom felt a shiver on her back,

"dad!" she said with a shy smile "I... I... I'm sorry" she said bowing to her father.

"it's ok, I know you're trying to make sure she doesn't grow spoiled, it's good that you sent her here, but It would have been better if you yourself have also stayed a few days, we haven't talked in years"

"heh, me? Here? Hah, of course I'd love to stay here, but... I'm too busy... With work! Yes I work a lot so I can't stay here" said sako's mom nervously.

"it's ok, I understand, but you should at least try to come visit us more often, and you should also let sako come visit us more often"

"yes father, I'll do it, I'll come as soon as I can, but I think sako and I have to leave now"

Sako waved goodbye to her grandpa who said "goodbye sako... And remember, don't be afraid to be yourself and fight for the life you want to live"

Sako nodded and smiled.

Sako's mom drove away with sako, sako looked through the window of the car and saw her grandpa wa ving goodbye to her.
