Chapter 36 by Dexabyssin Dexabyssin

Abigail date

Safari date

(Abigail POV)

For her plan, Abigail hadn't even had to rack her brains. All she had to do was take the plan she'd already made for the week before this show started.

She'd hesitated for a long time. Couldn't she come up with something better? Would he like it? He'd never really given an opinion on this kind of activity. At least, as far as he knew, he'd never done one.

The blue sky was covered only by a few clouds on the horizon. The savannah was as beautiful as ever. It was time for the safari.

She smiled at Leo, who for the moment hadn't said a word and was just looking around. She had taken care to discuss with Nola the clothes they were wearing. Even if her breasts were modest, she had to show them off.

_"The African savannah, it's beautiful." _Said Leo.

And a point gained. Now she had to make his day and make him forget the crazy week they'd had.

"I assumed you'd enjoy going on safari with me. You've never been on one as far as I know," says Abigail.

"Indeed, I've been to Africa several times, but I've never been on a safari." Says Leo.

"Ah yes, I remember you spent several weeks in South Africa, in Cape Town." Says Abigail.

"Indeed, it was an interesting experience even though I stripped myself of my phone and wallet on that trip." Says Leo.

"I'd forgotten that detail. Did you manage to get over it?" asked Abigail taking Leo's hands in hers.

"It's okay, it's okay. It didn't last long, they put 2 and 2 together and in less than 2 minutes I was stripped. But that was years ago, I've moved on." Said Leo removing his hands from Abigail's.

Okay this was going to be harder, if he refused any physical contact it was going to be difficult to get closer. She was going to have to slow down and take her time.

"I've already had the opportunity to go on several safaris, so I thought I'd introduce you to an African safari." Abigail said with a smile.

She did her best to smile all the time. It was the basis of communication. Smiling made the people around you want to smile. And smiling makes you happy, so smiling makes the people around you happy. Of course, it wasn't magic. At most, it was just a trick.

"The climate here is much drier than at the hotel," said Leo.

And we'd come to talk about the weather and the hotel. At this point Abigail was having trouble seeing how this date could start off any worse.

"Yes indeed, but I'm sure it'll be fine, and I've got everything planned in case of problems. We're equipped with suitable outfits, and I've got food and a bottle of water in my bag so we shouldn't have any problems." Says Abigail.

Leo smiled at this remark. Abigail couldn't help wondering if something had happened yesterday. Whatever it was, she wouldn't allow anything unexpected to happen.

"So where are we? Congo? Sudan? Somalia?" suggested Leo.

"We're in Tanzania, to the north of it. To the east you can see Mount Kilimanjaro and to the west you have Lake Victoria. To the north you have the border with Kenya." Says Abigail.

"Okay, thanks, I can see where I am. I must admit I know nothing about this country," commented Leo.

"That's not surprising. You're mainly interested in current affairs and this country is rather discreet." Abigail replied.

Leo was a political enthusiast. Abigail had lost count of the number of discussions they'd had on the subject. This, combined with Leo's great general knowledge, made his ignorance of the slightest piece of information about a country a real rarity. And Abigail intended to take advantage of this to lead the dance.

"I can tell you a bit about this country if you like. My many trips to Africa in recent years have taught me quite a bit." Abigail offered.

Now the question was whether he would accept the offer.

"Gladly, I'm sure this country has a fascinating history." Leo replied.

"The state of Tanzania was born from the union of Tanganyika and Zanzibar in 1964, shortly after the independence of its British colonies. This country is clearly not an example of democracy, but it has already had 5 presidents and has a good chance of improving in this respect. Terrorism is not very prevalent, and insecurity is fairly decent for an African country. The country's economy is based on agriculture, mining and tourism." Abigail explained, pausing briefly to check that Leo was still listening.

"Tanzania's tourism potential, with its coastline made up of superb beaches on the Indian Ocean, the northern region that includes Kilimanjaro, the Ngorongoro Crater and Africa's largest animal reserves, the presence of most of the continent's great lakes and its political stability, is very significant and continues to develop." Abigail continued to explain.

"I imagine that in your travels for your work you've mainly worked with this tourist industry that has introduced you to these beautiful landscapes." surmised Leo.

"Exactly." Says Abigail.

Leo said nothing more, just gazed at the landscape. However, Abigail knew very well that this was just an excuse to get lost in his thoughts. Since the method of diversion and slow seduction didn't seem to be having any effect, she was going to have to use the hard way.

"Leo, are you finally going to tell me what's on your mind? You've been concentrating on something else since we started going out" Abigail questioned, careful not to use the word date so as not to put him off.

"It's nothing. I'm just sorry about the way Daphne and I parted this morning. I wish I could have explained to her what really happened. And the worst part of the whole thing is that the lamp under your seat reminds me of her all the time." Said Leo.

Well, at least it was an honest explanation. Abigail couldn't help glancing at Daphne's lamp. Whatever happened, Leo was not to use it. Abigail decided to try a gamble and took Daphne's lamp.

"Do you wish to use it to chat with Daphne now?" Abigail asked.

Leo seemed to hesitate for a moment before answering.

"No, I'll do it later," said Leo.

"Okay, good, that'll give you both time to think about it." Said Abigail before tossing the lamp into the tall grass in the distance.

She knew it meant nothing, but symbols are important.

"Let's go on our safari!" Abigail said.

And without waiting, they began their safari. The Serengeti National Park is a large national park in northern Tanzania. Abigail and Leo moved along the park, enjoying the wonders nature had to offer. Abigail was always amazed by the beauty of biodiversity. How could life have created so many different kinds of life?

"It's fascinating to see all these different species, isn't it?" asked Abigail.

"Indeed, the lions and lionesses are magnificent," replied Leo.

"You know there's only one male per community among the lions. The lion king has a veritable harem at his service. And the lionesses accept him quietly. It's the natural order." Says Abigail.

"Indeed, it is the natural order, but it can't be compared to what we're going through, because what's imposed on us isn't natural at all." Leo replied, looking away from the lions.

This was really going to be more difficult than expected Abigail thought. From what she understood, Leo obviously wanted a harem but refused to give in to this desire. However, he'd had to give in last night or Jessica would never have gotten so many VPs. Had he only given in because Jessica was negative?

If this were the case, all his attempts at seduction would be doomed to failure, as Leo would do absolutely nothing not to satisfy his desires. There's no one deafer than someone who doesn't want to hear.

No matter how they gazed at elephants, zebras and rhinoceroses, Leo couldn't find the smile in his eyes. Abigail was **** to admit the obvious: this date had been a failure. Should she not have mentioned the harem and the show? But how could she do that when all Leo could think about was Daphne and last night's party?

Leo wasn't talking, which for a talker like him was very worrying. Abigail decided to change her approach.

"Leo, I'm worried about you. You haven't said anything really meaningful in hours. Do you hate spending time with me?" Abigail asked.

"No, you don't! You know I love spending time with you," says Leo.

"So why don't you talk? You should have told me how endangered these species are, or how fascinating their biological characteristics are. But you're not saying anything. That's not like you. Don't you want to talk to me?" Says Abigail.

"No, of course not. It's just that you're my godmother and there are certain things I don't want to talk to you about, that's all, but if you want we can discuss the survival of her species." said Leo.

Okay, this was really bad for her. Leo had to stop thinking of her as his godmother and they shouldn't be discussing the biodiversity of the savannah.

"Forget about the whole godmother thing. That was over 20 years ago, and I wasn't even there because I was late. I'd rather you'd thought of me as a friend, someone you could talk to about your problems, with whom you could share your sorrows." Says Abigail.

Obviously, she hadn't offered herself as a lover, concubine, or fiancée. Leo would never have accepted her. She couldn't rush into anything. She had to approach him slowly to seduce him. Eventually, he would accept the idea of a harem. It was only a matter of time.

"Of course, you're my friend, Abigail. But that doesn't mean I can't talk about everything with you." Leo said.

He was stubborn on the face of it, but she wasn't about to give up that easily.

"What don't you want to talk about with me? sex? what you did last night with Jessica? your love for Daphne?" Said Abigail.

"Stop, stop I don't wish to talk about that sort of thing with my mother's best friend." Said Leo.

So, age was the main problem. No problem it was even easier to counter.

"Leo I'm friends with your mother but I don't intend to talk to her about anything you tell me here just as I haven't talked about any of our discussions, we've had with her before. Then I'd like to ask you a question: how old am I?" Abigail asked.

"I'm not sure, 55?" Leo offered.

"I'm 30, which is barely older than you. Whatever I've been through before, I'm young and I intend to act like it, so please don't use age as an excuse not to talk to me." Abigail said.

Leo seemed to realize that he had **** but to come clean and say what was on his mind.

"Okay, okay. I'll tell you but after the safari, once we're back in my room. Is that okay with you?" asked Leo.

Doubting he could get any better at the moment Abigail agreed and they continued their safari. And this time Leo was smiling and really enjoying the moment, like a child marvelling at the buffalo and leopard.
