Rush through her day and go home

As soon as she got home, she gathered her makeup remover kit and sat down on her couch to unwind from the day. She slipped off her shoes, put on her television, and started dabbing at her face while she watched.

A few minutes later, she noticed in her mirror that she had achieved nothing. She looked down at the pad and noticed it was still clean. Not a speck of makeup had been removed. She checked that she was using the right product and she was.

She flopped back on the couch, frustrated that she would need to order more remover for whatever chemistry this was. She paused her television and went to change into something more comfortable.

She noticed that walking all day had tightened her calf and walking was a bit difficult. It was easier to walk with a slight tiptoe. She didn't think anything of it.

As she browsed in her wardrobe, she was distracted before she found her pyjamas. To her surprise, all of her clothes had changed, now all just like what she had worn the day before. She rummaged through the designer shirts, pants and dresses looking for something less figure-hugging but there wasn't much to be found.

The story was the same with her shoes. Gone were her sneakers and flats, replaced with designer pumps and booties to match her new outfits.

"What the-"

"...hell?" The now familiar voice finished her sentence.

She jumped and span around.

"You've changed everything I own? And what's going on with my makeup?"

"First thing's first, I just came here to check with you because it says on your file that you are still single."

"Yes I'm single!"

"For goodness- Fine. We'll work on that." He sulked, thinking about his workload.

"We really don't have to!"

"No, we do. It's the law. Can I be any clearer about this?"
