Runs into a friend.

Luke doesn’t know what to do. This was bad, real bad, and he was filled with so much anger and rage that he was about to burst. How could his brother do this to him? How could this happen to him? Luke awkwardly shuffled around in a circle on the sidewalk, pacing around and looking around for anyone that might catch him like this. He could just feel the invisible eyes glued to the white underwear that shielded his crotch and ass, ogling him from afar.

“Oh my god,” came a voice from behind. Luke quickly placed his hands in front of his crotch and awkwardly turned around to face whoever would be humiliating him further. His eyes widened and he smiled slightly when he saw that it was Connor, a friend of his and Max. As ashamed as he was of being seen like this by a friend, he’d rather it be a friend on the streets instead of some passing stranger or some middle-aged passerby that might call the cops.

“I have a feeling that this is a long story, my dearest Lukey,” Connor said with a grin forming on his face as he looked up and down at his friend. He could barely contain his humor at the situation and walked closer to his friend. “I don’t know if you know this but it’s generally frowned upon to go out and about in the neighborhood in just your underpants. Tighty-whities, at that.”

“Why does everyone keep calling them that? What are we, back in middle school? It’s just underwear, damn it, underwear,” Luke said in a hushed voice, turning back and forth as he looked around for any other possible voyeurs. “Look, you’re right, it is a long story but the gist is that my clothes went missing and I got locked out of my home. My brother took my keys and should - well, might - be back in the next few hours. I really need a place to stay in the meanwhile. You’re just down a few blocks, right? Is it okay if I stay with you? I’ll owe you.”

“I don’t know, a half-naked man walking down the streets by my side might do things to my reputation,” Connor teased before walking over to Luke’s side and slapping his arm over his shoulder. “Who am I kidding? They usually leave my house naked anyways. Come follow me, you’ll be safe from any further embarrassment. I can only imagine how ridiculous you feel, Hanes.”

Luke blushed at that stupid nickname and the pink in his cheeks suddenly turned into a vivid red when Connor’s hand came down and gave him a playful pat on his ass. “Please don’t call me that. You know my name. Luke, Lukey, Lukester. Hell, I’ll even take Pukey Lukey over that. Anyways, thanks, let’s head on over to your place really quick. I can’t stand the possibility of being seen like this. Let’s try to avoid the streets.”

The two men made their way to Connor’s home, making idle chitchat as they urgently walked. Much to Luke’s chagrin, Connor refused to respect Luke’s wishes and henceforth referred to him as Hanes. Just great, absolutely perfect. As Connor unlocked the front door to his house, he turned to face his friend and giggled again at the sight of his tighty-whities.

“You know, you’re allowed to switch to boxers when you turn thirteen.”

“I hate you,” Luke said, walking into the house.
