Ruby Sunday (Millie Gibson)

Ruby Sunday was a companion of the Fifteenth Doctor.

Abandoned as a baby by her mother, Ruby was soon fostered, and then adopted, by Carla Sunday and raised alongside other children that she fostered, developing a protective personality and changing the lives of Carla and her adopted grandmother, Cherry, for the better. Upon her eighteenth birthday, she and the Doctor defeated the Goblin King and his Goblins, preventing them from continuing to abduct the babies of the world. She then joined the Doctor in his travels.

When Disney performed a soft reboot of the show to bring it to a new audience, they wanted a companion who would bring eyeballs to the screen for what she looked like without her clothes on, just as much as for the excitement of her adventures.

Millie Gibson was the (un)fortunate woman to be cast in the role. While her on screen persona was getting into all sorts of ENF escapades throughout time and space, she was quickly having to get used to going about her real life with the whole world knowing what she looked like naked.
