Routine

The week falls into a kind of routine from there. You and Mazzy enjoy every moment you have together, eating, chatting, having lots of sex, or simply sitting together on the couch. You both miss each other while you work, and you’re greeted home daily by an excited, usually horny halfling.

Meanwhile, Dave keeps you appraised of his situation. He hears back almost as quickly as you did, and excitedly tells you that he and Lisa have their interview on Friday afternoon. When you share the news with Mazzy, she seems incredibly happy as well, insisting that you invite them over for Sunday dinner once again. Dave and Lisa happily accept, and suggest making it a regular event.

Helen, meanwhile, continues to accost you when she sees you, but you find that she’s easy to ignore, simply walking away. Less easy is some of what you run into when you and Mazzy go out. Picking up groceries is a test of patience, as you’re close enough to hear the scoffs and rude comments from others. Thankfully, Mazzy seems unperturbed by it, simply enjoying being with you.

At one point, a cashier refuses to ring you up, but another cashier waves you over. A younger woman with bright green hair and tattoos on her arms, she leans across the counter to compliment Mazzy on her appearance. Mazzy immediately launches into a conversation with her, and by the time you’re all checked out, you’ve made a new friend, whose name is Dakota. She exchanges phone numbers with Mazzy, waving goodbye as you leave and ignoring the glare from the other cashier.

Afterwards, Mazzy spends a lot of time texting with her new friend, and soon you’re roped into the conversations as well. It turns out that Dakota is a lot of fun, and it doesn’t take long before the three of you are agreeing to hang out soon. Mazzy is excited to have a growing circle of people she can call friends.

Finally, Friday rolls around, and as you and Mazzy are lounging in bed after another round of sex, your phone buzzes with a message. It’s from Dave, simply saying “We’re sponsors!”. When you show Mazzy, she immediately starts asking for details, but when you ask, Dave refuses to answer, saying you have to wait till Sunday. Mazzy pouts for a moment, but then grins, looking at you happily.
