Room 4

You walk through the doorway into another room. Opposite you is a door to the next room. Above it, you see the words {if@ Time (seconds) > 0}"{@5500 Time (seconds)} seconds" etched in Arabic numerals. You realise that you don't have a lot of time left to escape from the curse. {else}"YOUR TIME HAS RUN OUT" etched into the stone. You realise that your have failed and are going to be cursed.{endif}

This is a smaller room, the antechamber to the much larger main burial chamber where the sarcophagus of Imhotep is sure to be. This room contains two sarcophagi, standing upright on either side of the door. These sarcophagi are decorated with gems and precious metals, though you can tell that they are not a richly decorated as other sarcophagi found in Egypt. You deduce that these are probably loyal servants to Imhotep, which will act as bodyguards against any intruders into the pyramid.

Cautiously, you open each of the sarcophagi and inspect the mummies within. They are decorated with jewellery, including an ornate collar around each neck. {if@ Button 4 = true}You notice, however, that there is something wrong with one of the mummies. {else}You notice, however, that there is something a bit wrong with each mummy. The mummy on the left is bandaged up much more than the one on the right; the bandages cover its face completely, rather than showing eye sockets like the mummy on the right. {endif}The collar on the mummy on the right is clearly unfinished; a large gem is missing from the middle of the collar. {if@ Button 4 = true}Unlike your previous time in this room, the mummy on the left looks exactly normal – for a mummy.{endif}
