Go to the right mummy

As you approach the mummy on the right-hand side of the door, you see a red glow appear in its eyes and its head turns to follow your movements. Cautiously, you raise your hand to show the lapis lazuli you found in a previous room. The mummy makes no attempt to take the gem or to stop you from approaching. Slowly, you reach forward and press the jewel into the mummy's collar.

The jewel fits perfectly, as if it were made for this collar. There's a quiet sound as the lapis lazuli settles, then silence. You wait to see if the mummy will give you a reward, but nothing happens; it seems like the mummy is waiting for something.

The something the mummy is waiting for happens gradually. The lapis lazuli begins to glow. The gold flecks light up, looking like small stars against a deep blue sky. You're mesmerised by the jewel; it gives you the feeling of lying on the grass in the countryside at night and staring up at the sky, though here, you get the strange feeling that the stars are watching you back. You feel the urge to touch the jewel, but you don't know if it – or the mummy – will hurt you.
