Room 1

You step into a dimly lit room. Opposite you is a door to the next room. Above it, you see the words {if@ Time (seconds) > 0}"{@5500 Time (seconds)} seconds" etched in Arabic numerals. You realise that you don't have a lot of time left to escape from the curse. {else}"YOUR TIME HAS RUN OUT" etched into the stone. You realise that your have failed and are going to be cursed.{endif}

The room is sparely furnished, with only a small block of stone at one wall to break up the empty space. You walk around the room, trying to find any details that can help you. First, you investigate the the stone block. At first, it seemed like a regular stone, left over from the construction, but you quickly realise that it's more than that. The top of the block is grooved in the middle, as if it's meant to hold some sort of instrument. Just a bit above your head, you see a small hole in the wall. You think that it's just an air shaft, but you suspect that the placement of this hole must be related to the block underneath it. You stand on the block to look into it, but you can't see anything.

On the wall opposite the stone block are some exquisite carvings. {if@ Button 1 = true}To your surprise, you see that the carvings have changed since you were last here; now they show a range of animals inscribed inside a stone circle. After some thinking, you realise that the carvings are an Ancient Egyptian star map. {else}Rather than being hieroglyphic symbols, there are only strange shapes that you can't identify.{endif}
